Ok you guys win. My hands are getting tired typing back and forth.

Bottom line for me is this kid is a punk. Could the officer have handled it better YES. Do you or I know all of the story HELL NO.

How do you know anything about this kid? You assume he is a punk just as you ASSUME the cop is a saint.

It's not a matter of "us" winning. We all agree the kid is a punk. the cops made mistakes handling the situation. Legal mistakes. All the cop had to do was tell the kid he was interfering with an official police investigation and had to leave. If for any reason, even claiming he was within his rights, which he at that point would not be, the kid didn't leave, he is now breaking the law and subject to arrest. I know a lot of cops and lawyers. Some of the stories they tell me you wouldn't believe.

Was there anything to inform the kid there was an investigation taking place, ie police tape,or another officer to keep civilians away? From what I understand, it happened in a police parking lot which is public property I believe.

That is pretty close to the most pathetic argument yet. Humm Lemme see a cop is out of a Police car and leaning into another car...They must be buddies and having a chat about meeting later for a brew.

Think I will just walk over and tell the cop I am investigating unlawful arrests cause i am a 17 yr old shit head with daddys Iphone and I dont see any police tape or any other officers.

It's makes as much sense as yours. Here, look how these cops handle their situation.

The cop was leaning in to a passenger side window. Is this something that a cop is taught during an investigation? If he were doing some sort of investigation, he put himself in a pretty dangerous area with his head INSIDE the car.

Exactly!

I know. My point is, how can someone be arrested for interfering with an investigation if they're unaware that there is one?

Ah yea...I agree...it damn sure doesnt look like an investigation to me either.

So you are okay with someone following you around all day with a camera while you do your job? I'm sorry, but I am not okay with that.

Imagine if the cop had 15,000 pair of eyes and five TV cameras following him around while he did his job. So then it's ok for you to criticize referees but not the police?

Yeah, it is way better to have a bunch of folks ignorant to the law.

Yes, because accusing POLICE OFFICERS of kidnapping and human trafficking is not ignorant at all. I'm sure that kid ended up in the back of a police car because those cops were just pissed off and wanted to detain any random kid.

You dont know why the kid was in the car. Since they eventually let him out, you have to assume this guy was correct.
