I am afforded the right to speak in my own defense by our constitution, Sir. The same document which guarantees my right to liberty. "Liberty," in case you've forgotten, is "the soul's right to breathe, and when it cannot take a long breathe laws are girded too tight. Without liberty, man is a syncope."

We are talking about a little asshole following a police officer around with a camera. No one is grabbing this kid for no reason whatsoever and stuffing him into a police car.

He deserved what he got.

True, I am just saying I disagree with some things in the constitution. Legally, the officer loses here. Going back to my last statement, yes you are right. There was a better, legal way to handle it and he did not. The law states he was in the wrong.

My argument is more opinionated. I think the cops actions were fine and I would want him to do that to my kid if in the future he/she turns out to be a little prick like him.

Here's my point. the kid walks up filming, the cop asks him what he's doing. The kid replies filming a report in unlawful searches or something to that effect. The cop immediately gets up and says you're under arrest for interfering with a police investigation. Am I right so far? How can you arrest him for that, under that scenario meaning not informing him there is an investigation? Do you realize how easy it would be to make false accusations/arrests if this is allowed?

He was handcuffed and had to take a seat for an hour. big fucking deal.

He wasn't thrown in state penitentiary and raped on a nightly basis, he simply had to sit on his ass for an hour for being a dickhead. Nothing wrong there to me.

So you are okay with someone following you around all day with a camera while you do your job? I'm sorry, but I am not okay with that.

If I were in the street as a public servant then that is part of the job.

The officer does not have to warn him. As I have said a hundred times already I bet there is a history with this kid. We do not have the entire story. All we have is a edited version of the story from a 17 yr old kid.

the officer DOES have to warn him, otherwise, it could be argued under entrapment.

Actually, sadly, it is in some states. But (yea, I finally watch the video), if the cop was investigating something why did it look like he was in the parking lot, leaning over in to the car, and through the passenger side? He made it seem like a friendly conversation instead of an investigation.

Yes The kid walks up. The officer asks him what he is doing. The kid replies with filming a "report" for some lamer website this kid has made I am sure. He AT THAT POINT is interfering with a police investigation thus subject to arrest.

Didn't say it was. I said I think it is total bullshit that it is legal in "most" cases.

Not one of my arguments here has been saying any of this was lawful. My arguments are of my opinion and I personally feel nothing wrong happened here.

He asked him what he was doing. Inciting theconversation. If he were investigating something why would start the conversation?

The cop started the conversation. How in the hell do you see this as interfering with an investigation. So I walk up to a cop in the same manner and the cop asked what I am doing and I said I just want to thank you for your service I am now arrested for interferring with an investigation?

Like I said, the kid is a prick, but it is a big deal. He was illegally placed under arrest, allegedly not read his rights which must be done at the time of the arrest, and his parents weren't notified where he is a minor. Whether or not he deserved it isn't the argument I'm making, I'm saying they did it wrong, ie illegally and that is wrong.
