Green Bay/Seattle is no where close to Dallas/SF of the 90s... those 2 teams played in NFCC game 3 straight years with winner taking home Super Bowl.
Exactly. That was at the end of that long period of NFC Super Bowl dominance that began when SF beat Cincy the first time in Jan 1982.

Glad to see you comprehended I was pontificating just like you. Thus my comment about "isn't this fun"? Unlike you I did start with facts not opinions. I also backed it up with at least some family members feelings so the opinions weren't just from me. Unfortunately, you missed that or chose to ignore it? Either way it doen't matter.
You also misssed the boat on judging me once again. No where have I ever stated I dislike Seattle. Some of the fans and the Hawks, now that's a different story altogether. Another swing and a miss from you is, I did attend Hawk games, but I was never a fan of them. I simply tolerated them. I've always been a Pats fan. You're also mistaken about Pat fans and your comparison to the new age Hawk fans. On the Hoop you may be right? But as far as fans attending the games you're way off. Have you ever been to Gillette or Foxboro? As a matter of fact if anything fans attending games were being called pink hatters due to their lack of noise/passion during games. Also for the past 15 + years it has been one of the highest ticket prices in the league. The average obnoxious Pat fan couldn't afford them.
Good Luck to the Hawks. Do I hope they fail miserably? Sure I do. Attribute that to the fans obnoxious behavior and the teams recent success. Next time though you may want to keep in mind this is a SMACK tslk thread.

Fair enough. You are entitled to your opinion.

However, I will close saying that the Pats fanbase is significantly larger now than it was 20 years ago and I have seen just as many that were just as obnoxious as any Seahawks fans. Maybe it is your proximity that is twisting your rather biased view.

You mean the one that gave up 190 at 5.7 to Chicago last week, then lost a starting mlb? Yeah, they're off to a MUCH better start this year.

Did Bulaga get hurt today? Sucks if true.

Yeah somehow he see's the Packers as having a good D Mmmm we'll see how. That goes.

Yes I did mean that defense that gave up 190 to Chicago in week 1.

Lets now take a look after 1/4 of the season and see if the Packer defense is improved over the Packer defense that you played in week one last year. The defense that sucked and was ranked like 26th or 27th in the league at week 8 last year when changes were made.

Those changes that were made last year have continued running the same defense with a few different people. Gone is Hawk, Jones and T Williams and D House.

In their place rookie Randal at CB and Palmer and Rookie Joe Thomas at linebacker have been doing an admiral job. The outside linebackers Neal, Perry and Datone Jones have stepped up big time replacing the pass rush that Mathews use to have from the outside since he is now inside. 2cnd year player outside linebacker Elliot has been amazing making huge plays with 2 big play with the pick and knocking out the ball from Jackson to end the game.

The big 3 up front are doing great as well plugging up the middle. Raji has been amazing, Daniels amazing and now Guion is back. This group is one of the top big 3 in the league

This shows the younger people gotten to replace the ones that left to be over paid are doing their job.

Most people after week 1 were like oh yes look the Packer D still sucks. My thoughts were that they didnt look real good but not as bad as the stats showed and my thinking was that it was week one and takes a game or two to get back into actual hitting and getting use to playing football as it does not happen in the preseason games.

Lets see how the Packer D sits now after 3 weeks including pathetic week #1

Through 4 weeks:

Yards per game = 312 #8 in league Yards per game week in week 1 was 415 Yrds
Yards per game weeks 2 - 4 averaged 277 per game
277 yards per game would be #2 in the league right now
So week one is still hurting them

Points allowed per game = 17.75 #3 in the league

Sacks = 17 which is #2 in the league

Passing D #7 in the league

Rushing D #21 in the league down from #32 in week #1

Time of possession defense with D holding ball 27:08 minutes per game = #5 in the league giving Rodgers 32:58 per game to run the offense.

More on the rush defense:

Week 1 Forte had 141 yards and Pack sucked big time
Week 2 Lynch 41 and Wilson 78 yards this is great results
Week 3 J Charles 49 yards this is great results
week 4 Kap had 57 which is much less than the last 3 visits and Hyde had 20

Next week will be a huge test it appears as Gurley had a fabulous day today so another good test is coming up and will have to see what the results are.

But yes as I review the first 4 weeks and compare this defense to the Packer defense that the Packers had at through half of the season last year this year in my opinion is a huge upgrade.

Not sure how others see it but just my personal opinion and why I made those statements that were questioned.

Should be an pretty interesting game.

Packers need to win to stay in the race. Seattle really wants to win because if they do they have a great chance at running the table.

Losing Thomas hurts the Seahawks. On the plus side, the Seahawks have effectively been without Thomas for the past 2 games and only gave up 21 points combined in both games. But I have to think that some teams will be able to exploit the loss of Thomas.

Packers defense is still pretty suspect.

I've been sick since Saturday. I did not go to the Pats game, I didn't even watch it live. Due to the sickness my homervision is at an all time low.
I'm coming out of it though.
Watch out bitches.
Seattle 24-17.

I know who I'm rooting for.

But I also know who I'm picking to win.

They are not the same team....

Seattle is currently favored by a FG. When was the last time the Packers were home dogs?
