I'm very confident the trade is to Ramirez start, it's a downgrade to put him in the pen. I think he'll end up taking Moore's or Gallardo's spot, which sad to say but at its current state, is an upgrade as proven by your later post.

I disagree with you. I think you got it backwards. I think he would upgrade the pen, but having him replace Gallardo or Moore would be a wash, at best. In his starts overall, he posted a 6.05 ERA and in his last 5 starts he was clobbered: 21 runs in 22 1/3 IPs.

His relief stats compared to Cishek's: 3.22 ERA, 0.85 WHIP, 4.0 BB/k, 10.2 HR/IP.
Cishek was 3.15 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, 2.14 K/BB, 6.7 HR/IP.

I don't think it really matter anymore who they choose. Gallardo is just as bad of an option as any of the MiLB options. Give the new kid a shot from the Cards.

1. Gonzales
2. Erasmo
3. Moore
4. Gallardo

I call bs, that dude is addicted to making trades. And think it was Rosenthal on his Facebook column that said GM's around baseball love making deals with him, so I would put money he pulls off at least another deal before the non waiver deadline.

I hear you, it's so confusing becsuse he is "buying or selling" it seems he is just making trades to make trades. Phelps is the only guy who makes the team better now or in the near future. Every other move is just dude with a controllable contract.

I believe Marco Gonzales is probably going to get the call-up and be in the bullpen.

I agree that it's backwardary as shit but that was Dip believes. I rather they keep Steve Cishek and bring up Gonzales to start instead of Ramirez. The trade is all about controllable since Cishek contract expires this year.
