Just got home and heard all the rumors and moves..shocked I haven't seen a deal yet from Jerry.

Move Cano to 1B, Gordon to 2B, and trade Gamel, Moore, and Healy to Marlins for Ozuna and Dan Straily.

If the Marlins would do this then the Mariners should hop on that.

True, but Jerry has preached his analytics/matrix and all that and analytics says Gamel is a lefty so can't play every day and having Gordon as your CF is going to hurt outfield production defensively. Maybe he's trying to copy the Dodgers experiment of controllable Chris Taylor?

I actually think DIP has lost it. I think the Ohtani thing really hit him hard and he has lost confidence in his sales ability. Now he is on scramble mode which will leave us where we always are, 20 games back and a fantasy through July of a wildcard spot that has little value.

I don't know if he has lost it totally but he defiantly got his feelings hurt when the baseball world mocked him for the O'Neill trade. I think his main problem is his mentality of thinking he is smarter than everyone and he is going to reinvent baseball. Not to bring up Taylor again but Jerry is inventing all these psychological positions for the Mariners but couldn't find one scrub personnel guy to try to tweak his swing?

Well said. I think the O'Neill thing put him at the brink and the Ohtani thing (I think he thought that was a slam dunk) put him over the edge and he lost his mojo he usually has.
