Braves now lead it 3-1....and now he's pulled. Sheeesh.
After throwing 4 solid innings...he suddenly fell apart with 2 outs in the the 5th.
He leaves w/ the base loaded.
Drew Smith takes over.....and get a groundball out to end it.


Mets trail 3-1 heading to the 6th.

Batting Maybin in the 3 spot in the order right out of the gate was another Rojas head scratcher.

I also understand wanting to give Alonso & Nido some rest....but the Mets are off tomorrow.
They both should've been in the lineup today..imho.

I would've gone with Mazeika there to PH for McCann....especially after Maybin was given a gift to get on base and then managed to get all the way to 3rd.

Mets RHP Noah Syndergaard allowed one hit in four scoreless innings for Class A St. Lucie during his first rehabilitation start in his recovery from Tommy John surgery. "He threw really well," manager Luis Rojas said. "It was a very successful start."
RHP Taijuan Walker (left side tightness) was placed on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to Tuesday. ...
RHP Jacob deGrom (lower back tightness) played catch without problems before the game and will make a rehab start for St. Lucie on Thursday.
3B J.D. Davis (sprained left hand) went 1 for 3 in a rehab game with Triple-A Syracuse.
