Need Thor to toss a shutdown inning to keep that momentum.

Hechavarria doubles home Frazier...but then gets thrown out at 3rd after the cutoff throw for the 2nd out.

Too bad he didn't stay at 2nd. Thor doubled but was left stranded.

3-0 Mets..mid 2nd.

Thor runs into trouble in the 2nd.
Got the 1st hitter then gives up 3 straight doubles...
Dodgers put 2 on the board.

Now he walks the pitcher with 2 outs....sheeesh.

Thor is already at 68 pitches.

Mets need to go back on the attack ASAP.

Thor sets them down 1-2-3 to finish the 6th inning with the Mets leading 6-3.
He's now at 116 pitches, so that was probably it for him tonight.

Onto the 7th.

Rosario leads off the 7th with a solo shot on the 1st pitch from the new LA pitcher.
Dom Smith goes yard 3 pitches later.

LA scores 1 in the home 7th on Turner's 2 out rbi single.

Onto the 8th.

And he gives up a solo HR to begin the inning.

...and now he issues a 1 out walk...on 4 straight off the plate away.

I used the word hopefully...boy did I mean it.

I had a feeling when the mets left runners at 2nd & 3rd with no outs after scoring those 2 runs in the 7th..it would come back to haunt.

This inning has turned into a nightmare.

HP ump didn't give Diaz the 3-2 pitch at the knees for the called 3rd on the 1st hitter...so of course the very next pitch ended up in the bleachers to make it 8-6.
Next batter parks one over the wall...8-7 game.
Then b2b doubles tied it 8-8...and still no outs.

After an IBB he gives up an infield single to load the bases.



WOW....
That went bad for NY in just a matter of minutes after an otherwise pretty good game.

Fucking Crapola.

Sac fly rbi.

Dodgers walkoff 9-8.

Only thing to do now is try to forget it and focus on getting the series split on Thursday.

But wow...just wow.
It took one bad non strike call by the ump...and everything went to shit in a hurry.
I'm astounded that Diaz couldn't recover somehow.


Gotta be some angry pissed off Mets players in that visitors clubhouse right about now....especially Diaz (at himself..and at that ump)

Not sure if the Mets are on the radar for Keuchel +/or Kimbrel, but maybe Brodie Van W. and the FO should consider inquiring with their agents??
