My half assed based on nothing medical diagnosis for deGrom is he was probably compensating or changing something up due to his other injury.

Sit him his next start and see what happens.

Also, trade for a starter ASAP.

Sean Reid-Foley pitched 2 solid innings in relief of deGrom on a moments notice.

The issues with Carrasco & Thor haven't helped.
What they've done previously, and to mixed reviews, was to give Gsellman & Lugo some spot starts.
They tended to backfire a bit more than work out....but there were a few that did.
There will be some arms available out there come trade deadline time...so the front office has to be on it.
