Are the Mets bats gonna stagnate again for the duration of this game after only scoring in the 1st inning??

This team is in serious need of a wake up call and soon...which they should've already had, especially after last night's debacle and butt whipping.

Mets still only have the one hit (Conforto's 1st inning rbi single) thru 4.
deGrom doing his damn best to keep us in the game after his 1st inning anomaly.
He now has 9 K's thru 4...on just 56 pitches.

Even with Jake on the mound, It's getting close to NBA playoff watching time again.

Mets had 2nd & 3rd with 2 outs for Pete in the 8th....but as he did in the 1st inning with runners on, he went after the 1st pitch of the AB and comes up empty on a routine ground ball out.

Stupid.

At least take a 1 or 2 to put some pressure on the pitcher...maybe he throws 1 away..and the runner on 3rd scores there??
Maybe wait for a pitch to drive into the gap??

Also still waiting for McNeil to get on track......sheeesh.

I just found out.....LA beat the Nats 6-2 in 5 (due to rain)
And my bad...I thought it was in LA...but it was actually in D.C.

Also the Phillies-Marlins game was postponed (also rain)

Ah FFS. Final play was a clusterfuck but the real problem was Lugo walking Inciarte from 0-2. He wasn't swinging - just throw a fastball in the strike zone instead of trying to be too clever with the curve!

Pretty lousy watching them give away winnable games like that.

Just gotta hope they bounce back in their next series..and put together at least something of a win streak instead of this see-saw ride day in & day out before they hit the AS break.
