(D) Matt Tennyson, (D) Matt Irwin, (F) Tim Kennedy, and (F) James Sheppard were held out of tonights Worcester game and expected in camp for San Jose.

Kurs also reporting the Sharks are trying to re-sign Jim Vandermeer.

I think Sheppard has a decent chance, though he seems to of slowed up a bit. But a year away from the game will do that to you,and statistically he and Charlie Coyle are neck in neck lol.

What about Samsonov?

Haven't seen anything on Samsonov. As of 9pm PT tonight GM's can begin making roster changes: trades, signings, camp invites, etc. So we should find out a lot more in the next day or two.

Looking at that group of players, and assuming they don't bring anyone else in, I see them being a little better than last year, and prob anywhere between a 3 and 7 seed in the West.
Bringing in Stuart definitely helps the D, and they have some depth there.
Still the same issue with the forwards....A very good top 6, but not much else. I'm hoping Wingels can become a legit 3rd liner, maybe someone else can break out, and they make a trade before the deadline....They won't go far without a good 3rd line....

Vander beef to the nucks, nothing shocking there the way the coaching staff mishandled him last year

I never understood their fascination with wanting to play him at forward. He did a pretty good job on D when he played.

Well that was on WoodCroft and Shaw, why they kept going with Colin White amazes me

Checked out a practice @ Sharks Ice today, around 50 fans. The Sharks were running Pk & power play drills.

So either e have some direction on how the team should look like, or maybe making room for a waiver pick up?

Petrecki was signed to a one year contract today so it looks like he's staying for a little bit at least. Sheppard still needs to be signed I believe.

By my count the Sharks are down to a regulation roster, so if no other moves are made the line-up looks something like:

Marleau - Thornton - Pavelski
Clowe - Couture - Havlat
Galiardi - Handzus - Wingels
Sheppard - Desjardins - Burish
McLaren

Boyle - Irwin
Stuart - Vlasic
Murray - Braun
Petrecki

Niemi
Griess

With Demers and Burns on the IR

Couple of number changes this year. Desjardins will wear #10 and Demers #5.

Sheppard is officially signed now, 1 year @ $850k. Petrecki's deal was 1 year @ $650k. Both are two-way contracts.

How has Shep been? Ive checked how he did in Woostah and he's been atleast as good as Coyle stats wise which is impressive considering hes been out of it a year.

Could make for an interesting 3rd line, and Petrecki doesnt look like he has been doing much, has he just been a brusier
