He has not had 9 turnovers for TDs in 5 games. So there is that. He can at least run as well. I wouldnt want him but anything is a step up from Jones at this point. Pats have extra picks. I doubt the Pats want him either. He is not a Bellchick type player.

There is no way I would take Fields over Jones, I just don't see Fields as NFL ready. Mac is only a small part of the problem in NE at this time, but it's always easy to blame the QB

Hence the big "IF".

I agree with everything you said otherwise.
I do not think Fields is a "Great QB". I do believe he has greater potential, and I would have rather he "Fell" to the Pats than Jones "Fell" to us.
