Woj saying the Celts and Mavs are flirting about with a Andre Drummond trade. Belief is still Drummond is going to the Lakers if he hits the buyout market.

Chris Mannix says the Pels are actively shopping Lonzo Ball again as he is not in their long term plans (ie he's due for a contract extension and they don't want to pay him).

Curious if the C's can make it work without using the exception. At this point it seems dumb to use it on Dre

I’m not even sure the cap gymnastics to make that happen.
I’m not sure it’s possible unless it’s a 3 team trade or the tpe

Danny said that he will not use the exception on a rental. Celtics need an off the bench sparkplug shooter and there aren't many available. Olipado would fit nicely but Ainge wants younger guys to build for the long term and not someone who is looking to free agency. The guy they really want is Baines. Problem for the C's is that they don't have much bench capital to trade.

The one possibility is Beasley. He and Tatum are very close friends and JT has had several conversations with Danny about just going out and doing what has to be done.

I don't know who has to be killed to get Baines and Beasley. Just think it might be bloody.

Oh you're right. I hadn't realized that TT's salary dropped so much. I thought he was still in in the 18 million or so range.

I happen to think Dre is a fit for them but not at the cost of the exception.
