what do you think is a major asset? Is he Durant level? Of course not. But he is a former all star whose 2 years prior to this one were all star level. also only 24.

And, sure, did have a down year in 2024 but also had some serious injuries. Possible he forgot how to play/shoot at age 24? Sure...but also possible just a down year.

That is a bad trade for Brooklyn.

I think it might be bad for both teams. I mean, if Brooklyn is looking to rebuild not sure why they'd want a max player and have little around him.....and deal away what could be 3 good picks.

If you don't think Garland and Mitchell can coexist long term, I think it's a pretty nice deal. I'd probably take Cam over Okoro. Probably an upgrade over Strus too. Also, those PHX picks could be really valuable. I feel like that could be an implosion happening very soon.

agree IF you think they cannot play together they should move him. I also agree just because altman said they are not moving him (or any of core 4) does not mean he wont. Better to say they wont move him even if they know they want to. But the info he offered is also true...with Garland/Mitchell playing together the team has a solid net rating (same with both big guys).
