Was listening to the Bill Simmons pod, and a Garland trade was a main talking point. The trade that Simmons suggested was:

Cleveland gets:
Cam Johnson
Dennis Schröder
2027 and 2029 PHX 1st round picks

BKN gets:
Darius Garland

Found that interesting with all the discourse earlier regarding Garland. Those PHX picks could turn out to be pretty valuable given Durant's age, and the likelihood Booker is gone by then.

While I agree, I don’t think anyone properly discounts the distance of picks properly for the nba like we do for nfl trades

Far away picks should be a lot more valuable for teams like the Suns.

But I almost think it should be valued the inverse of where your team is in the standings today.

Unless you always suck. Then the pick should always be valuable.
