Clippers today @ Suns
Spurs tomorrow @ Pelicans
Rockets tomorrow vs Jazz
Grizzlies tomorrow vs Pacers
IMO, the 4 most likely scenarios are the top 2 rows and the bottom two rows ... as I expect the Clippers and Rockets to win against teams with nothing to play for.
Spurs and Grizzlies should be favored to win as well, but will be playing teams fighting for their playoff lives
Boston: vs. Raptors, at Bucks
Brooklyn: vs. Magic
Indiana: vs. Wizards, at Grizzlies
Miami: at 76ers
The Heat seemed like they had no chance a few days ago... but the scenario for them to get in isn't actually that crazy.
You need 4 outcomes.
- Heat beat Sixers... should be no problem
- Grizzlies beat Pacers.... very likely (esp with Grizzlies playing for seeding)
- Wizards beat Pacers.... not super crazy.... but depends on what the Wizards rest/play plans are
- Magic beat Nets... This is the hard one, but not impossible. Magic have been playing well lately.
If the Raptors win their last 2 (@ BOS, vs CHA) OR win 1 + bulls lose to the Hawks... Raptors get the 3
If the Bulls beat the Hawks and the Raptors lose at least 1 game.... Bulls get the 3
Yeah, with the way both teams have been playing lately... the Pacers should probably be favored in a game where both teams are trying. You never know, though, the Wizards are the type of team that can be dangerous when motivated.
One interesting note on the Pacers vs Grizzlies game... that Games is starting 90 minutes after all the other meaningful games.
The only way the Grizzles can improve their seeding is if either the Rockets or the Spurs lose. By the time the Pacers and Grizz hit the locker room at half time... the Spurs and Rockets games will likely be wrapped up. If they both win... the Grizz might as well rest everyone 2nd half.
I honestly think the Pelicans would be a better matchup for the Warriors. Maybe that series could go to 6 games, but the Thunder would be lucky to win one game with Russell "Triple Double, 40 shots, clutch then not clutch", Westbrook.
