I get it but super bowls are won by teams. I think on a neutral field right now the Niners are 10 points better than anyone.
I'll take a number of the AFC teams +10 vs. SF but agree as teams are now SF looks like the best team. Will help in a weak conference and division they have an easy path into the playoffs.

as frustrating as Stefanski can be there is no way he should be on any hot seat. If they make the playoffs he should be on a second tier for coach of year. if they somehow magically won the division tier 1...but not likely obviously.
There is zero chance he is on a hot seat. The guys who matter - like the blame the coach guys - know what is what and don't blame the coach for every loss.

Guessing many were ready to blow a gasket when he went for the 4th and 3 and would have if it didn't work. But it went for a TD. They probably didn't like the 3rd and 1 TD to Njoku on first drive and would have killed him if it didn't work. But it did.

agree barring a late season collapse he is in running for COTY.....assuming with Ryans, Campbell and maybe Payton?

lol yeah ok. Please don’t tell us you are already setting up why the Browns aren’t going anywhere.

Another reason why NIL’s should include play requirements. Caleb Williams hasn’t even announced yet and he’s not playing. Are we seriously going to allow guys to sit out and then come back?
I’m not getting it. Why should a player have his money tied up in this way? I wouldn’t sign that deal and I’ll go elsewhere that won’t make me promise to play in a bowl game. Some other program out there will offer me that same money without those conditions. When it’s time to turn pro, I’m not sticking around for the damn Sun Bowl. My livelihood is at stake. I’m not risking injury and I’m getting into the lab trying to work on my combine performance.

This is reporters just reporting but not knowing the rules. To be fair, the practice squad rules aren't well known.

Stefanski named Flacco the starting QB of the Browns the rest of the season. That's all you need to know.
LaCanfora loves to rip the Browns any chance he gets.......also need to know that (even if not justified).

I'm really surprised my team is currently 8-5.

If I remember correctly their win total before the season was 8.

cool....but there are 30 teams and without the other team right now there is not a game to broadcast.
Sure there is. One of the other 29 teams. Baseball has already bent over backwards for small market teams. They are gifted luxury tax money they didn’t earn and they don’t put it into the team. They pocket it. They shouldn’t do the same thing with local TV money.

what are you even talking about? NFC is an overall weaker conference and SF has an easy path to make the playoffs in their weak division.

If you want to mention the Browns, curious where you think SF is without Purdy, both OTs and their backup and CMC?

OK...but that's not how it works. The schedule is set and the other teams are all occupied playing someone else.

Just an FYI (and please write it down and read until it sinks in).....I do not give my team a complete pass at all. It is shameful what the owner has done to spend so little in what could be a contending window for our team. would just like to see smarts matter more like it does in the NFL and NBA.

You had an argument at the beginning of the season before all of these injuries. Right now the Eagles are the third best team in the NFC and they clear everyone in the AFC. They’ve already beaten the Chiefs and the Dolphins. The Ravens don’t have the pass game to hurt the Eagles weaknesses. Your opinion here must be based on a glut of mediocre teams being better than some of the dookers in the NFC. One of those dookers just took Baltimore to OT yesterday. The AFC is in no way a stronger conference than the NFC. Additionally, tossing around the term “weaker conference” is just ass.

I get it. You root for a small market team and you want the scales to be tipped in your favor. Nothing wrong with that. Just know that tipping scales is the opposite of “fairness”.

I’d be ok with an NIL structure that offers X amount for the contract with a rider for a bonus if the player plays in a meaningless bowl game.

It’s over man. You’re holding on for dear life and things have already evolved. It’s the playoffs and everything else. The bowls don’t matter any more. Up until the 70s that was always the case with bowl games anyway. We’ve just moved back to that point.

I’m not a Niners fan, but I don’t have to think that way because they have their people. If they didn’t I assure you I wouldn’t be taking about anything other than the realities of the situation. The Niners are a superior team to anyone at the moment. I give my Ravens a punchers chance.
