reminds of those games were a guy like Bruce Gradkowski would start for the Browns and it looked like it was a different game that was being played on the field other than football.
definitionally its exactly what it means. If you are no longer in your prime- by definition that means your best days are behind you.Where did I say his best years are behind him?
Not being in his prime, does not necessarily equal his best days being behind him.
Yet another thing you're wrong about, one nut.
Tom Brady has been past his prime for 10 years yet has had some of his better seasons since he was past his prime and has, in some ways, been better.
unbelievable.Need 1 yard shotgun drives me nuts. urban Meyer special

your right- lol- you convinced me that being passed your prime means that your best days are not behind you. LOL...makes total sense. Water is not wet and men can become woman and Russia is winning its war.No, it doesn't. Being physically past your prime, doesn't make you mentally past your prime. That experience and knowledge can often make a player better for a few years past their prime.
So, wrong again.
So much for the AFC West being a dogfight so far, unless the Raiders beat the Chiefs this Monday night...
Right, I remember we had a small discussion before the season started about how exciting watching the AFCW was gonna be and it still could be I suppose but the Broncos tonight, yeesh….So much for the AFC West being a dogfight so far, unless the Raiders beat the Chiefs this Monday night...

words mean something. choose them carefully.
unbelievable.
but- cant say much- I thought Stefanski fucked us last week with his poor playcalling.
sadly I have already chalked up the Browns season. They should be 4-0 with some wiggle room- instead they go into a dreadfully difficult part of their schedule at 2-2 having wasted a very easy early schedule.
obviously its tough when Clowney and Garrett are hurt- but a lot of teams have injuries- Browns prob. already blew their season I hate to say.
I hate that crap. Plays take too long to develop and you're starting 5+ yards deep when you only need 1 yard. USC did that shit when Graham Harrell was the OC and it drove USC fans crazy. lol
And people are crushing Russ but go back and watch the last play. You have four targets run routes to the middle of the field from the 6 yard line taking all of their defenders with them to the middle. Aaron Rodgers isn't hitting that pass but maybe 2 or 3 times out of 10.
Not a great throw but even worse play design there.
And yes Hamler was open for like half a second lol. People freeze framing it to make it look as bad as possible. His route ran him directly into coverage he'd have had to see the throw the instant he was open. Not enough field for it imo
This makes a lot of sense. At the same time, he wasn’t great for you guys last year either. He’s clearly on the back end of his career. Maybe you’re right that he’s gonna find it. But transition and change for an athlete is always difficult. It’s even more difficult when the older athlete is experiencing some traits diminishing with age. Russ never stood out for his accuracy or a howitzer for an arm. His mobility and decision making made him elite. Despite being older, he’s gotta run around with his hair on fire to get back to being that elite guy.He definitely hasn't been.
It's also a new team with a first year head coach who he is trying not to undermine and who was hired when the Broncos thought they were getting Aaron Rodgers. It was also a shorter training camp than usual. So he doesn't have timing down yet.
Some of this is on him as well, just not as much as some seem to think. At some point, he may just have to decide he's going to just do his thing and not worry about undermining the coach. I know that's what he did on the best drive they've had this season.
Part of the problem also appears to be that he's 33 and wants to play 10 more years, so he's trying to run around less and be more like a Drew Brees type of QB. He may need to scrap that for this year and work on it again in the off-season.
It's looking like too much to try to change his game while also playing in a new offense with a new team.
We used to have a concept like that on the goal line because you see so much man down there. QB has to search presnap for two keys: matchup and alignment of DB. It looks like they were expecting a man look and didn’t get it. Or Russ picked the wrong guy presnap. You would think the concept is flawed because you’re right that you have four routes coming to the middle. But it’s supposed to be quick. When you throw on 3 step, it happens so quickly you’re just looking for receiver leverage positioning. If you don’t throw on the third step, you’re fucked in that concept. And people are crushing Russ but go back and watch the last play.
