Mayfield >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Brissett

BM: 29-30 / rating- 87.8 / passing yards per game- 235.4

JB: 17-23 / rating- 83.0 / passing yards per game- 129.0
And? They’re both sub par starting QBs in the NFL and are the epitome of game managers.

If you think BM is in the same QB tier as Brissett then your all things Cleveland issues are shining brightly.

BM's a helluva lot better than Brissett.

And Brissett isn't a game manager. He's a journeyman QB.

You lean too much on projections and minor league results because you’re a fan of the team with the 28th ranked payroll in baseball. If every guy who showed power in the minors were really power hitters the league would be full of 35-40 HR a year hitters. Bohm’s career high in HRs will likely fall in the 20-25 range and most years will hit between 12-15. At the plate he is more Scott Rolen than he is Bryant.

But he's projecting stats for a team that is 28th in payroll, essentially a AAA team. It all makes sense..... :trash:

I didn't think I'd feel bad for Griner, especially given her stance with the country, etc. But she's the victim of politics, and being stuck in Russia of all places truly sucks. For her sake, I really hope she's not spending the next 9 years of her life in a Russian prison.

She probably won’t survive 9 years in a Russian prison.

Bohm has near a 1000 at bats and like I said- looks much much closer to a light hitting SS than Scot Rolen who averaged about 28 bombs a year for the first decade of his career if you take out his one season where he was significantly injured.

That- and obviously Rolen was one of the best defensive 3rd basemen of the last couple decades. Only reason Bohm is still at 3B is Hoskins blocks him at 1B and he doesnt hit enough to be at 1B. A third overall pick with near a 1000 at bats known solely for his bat with an OPS just north of .700 is looking pretty sketch.

If he's a 1B that doesn't hit well enough for the position, why go into detail? He's a not an impact player.

They couldn't negotiate a swap until after her sentencing, expect that to happen a little quicker now.

If he played for any other team he'd be saying exactly what you are.

LOL.

Yep they aren’t comparable. Brissett is more of a backup quality. Baker is a starter.

he was a very highly rated prospect, 3rd overall pick- based on his bat- since his defense has always been suspect (now its considered well below average at 3B) that actually looked really good as a rookie for half a season- he kicked ass while he was a rookie- and then he has just fallen apart. I really thought he was going to be good.

actually Guardians are younger than the typical AAA team. lol.......it was supposed to pretty much be a rebuilding year - but the kids have played pretty well for the most part. Great part is most of their best prospects - some of their "can't miss" (or probably more accurately for ANY minor league player- the "highly likely not to miss") are still in the minors.

Especially SP....Keith Law just had them with 3 of the top 25 SP in the minors.

Also helps to have Ramirez, Bieber and Clase.

I think its safe to say Clase can be, if not the best closer in baseball, certainly in the conversation with maybe 1 or 2 other guys.

He has given up 2 ER since May 1st in 37 IP and is 19/20 for saves in that span.

total on the season 44.1 IP, 46k's, 1.22 ERA, , 0.68 WHIP. 23/25 on saves.

7.7 K to BB ration is what really stand out for me.

I would have liked to see them draft a catche- but with Karinchak back in the saddle- they added a reliever better than the majority of relievers that were traded for.

Sean Murphy would make a big difference though.

Twins spent some very singifcant prospect capital for some decent upgrades.
