Is he? Then why did the Browns 2.0 trade 3 1st round picks for a public relations nightmare if BM is a legit NFL starter?
Yes. To upgrade to get a arguably a top 5 QB.
The goal is to make your team as good as possible. Not sure what that has to do with the comparison between Baker and Brissett. Brissett is the backup that would be starting in place of the starter. Watson, who was traded for Baker, a huge upgrade, that doesn’t mean Baker isn’t a starter in this league. Brissett is not starter caliber. Could be a decent pin in place until Watson plays

And? They’re both sub par starting QBs in the NFL and are the epitome of game managers.
a guy who has been among the top downfield passers for a season and is usually among leaders in intended air yards/pass is a game manager?

Baker's issues are usually when he tries to do too much. It's too bad he may not be capable of being a game manager.

Big Ten should tell ND no more matchups with Michigan and USC or MSU - or any Big Ten school unless you want to join.

It would take about half an hour to get them in.

One has led a team to an 11-5 record and a playoff win while being a top 10 QB and also set rookie record at time for TD passes. One has never been brought in to be a starter.
He didn’t “lead” shit. They won in spite of him. “His” playoff win came because of like 3 or 4 1Q turnovers from a Steelers team that limped into the playoffs. I guess QBs cause turnovers now bwahahaha!

If you think BM is in the same QB tier as Brissett then your all things Cleveland issues are shining brightly.

BM's a helluva lot better than Brissett.

And Brissett isn't a game manager. He's a journeyman QB.
to be fair he's a journeyman backup game manager

I guess we shall see over the 5 years of his contract whenever he does get on the field. He is only 26. Only 3 years older than Jalen Jurts.
Oh the Eagles QB I trash regularly here?

He does seem older huh? I keep forgetting he is still so young. Very rare a QB that young and to that caliber becomes available, like you said

And I never debated that. I said they’re essentially in the same tier… not good enough. You want to split hairs over something as silly as “would you rather die in a plane crash or a train crash?”
I mean if you are breaking it down to Super Bowl level or not Super Bowl level- then there are maybe what? 10-12 guys in the league that belong in the Super Bowl level tier.

But its an odd argument from a Philly fan who saw a SB win with a nobody like Nick Foles at QB.

Maybe thats why they insist on trying to fit a square peg in a round hole with Jurts? I could not tell you.

Bwahahaha! Ohio St is a moron den and a diploma mill. All you need for acceptance at OSU is a pulse and a social security number. Holy shit lumping them in with some of the finest institutions in the world. OSU is the 13th grade.
admittedly this used to be true, but I know kids with 4.0 GPAs at a top Ohio HS who could not get into OSU.

The difference between Baker and Brissett is that Brissett has accepted his role. Baker is still one or two years away from accepting the reality that he’s a back up QB.

uhhhh...clearly you have no clue what you are talking about. It has a 53% admittance rate. Its pretty tough to get into nowadays. Maybe 20 years ago that was not the case.

now for football players? sure its a lot different- but as far as academics, research, etc....its very good. A lot of money helps.

you need not make it so obvious you are elite level irrational. He was a top 10 QB per QBR and PFF in 2020. Top 2 last half of season.

You want to credit a D that gave up nearly 40 points, 500+ yards and were a sieve for 3 quarters for a win but not the QB who had an efficient game, 3 TDs and no TOs playing with a battered OL (one of which he met for the first time in middle of the game)?

You are priceless.

So they go to a satellite campus first and then they can move to main campus. Still the 13th grade.

I had a cousin who ended up getting her doctorate and becoming a physical therapist that got wait listed with a 3.8 and sparkling extra curriculars. Its actually very difficult to get in nowadays.
