you need not make it so obvious you are elite level irrational. He was a top 10 QB per QBR and PFF in 2020. Top 2 last half of season.

You want to credit a D that gave up nearly 40 points, 500+ yards and were a sieve for 3 quarters for a win but not the QB who had an efficient game, 3 TDs and no TOs playing with a battered OL (one of which he met for the first time in middle of the game)?

You are priceless.
Nah. I just don’t have Baker Mayfield’s balls on my chin.

I had a cousin who ended up getting her doctorate and becoming a physical therapist that got wait listed with a 3.8 and sparkling extra curriculars. Its actually very difficult to get in nowadays.
son had exceptional grades at a top HS in the area and until he was admitted we were not sure he'd get in.

admittedly this used to be true, but I know kids with 4.0 GPAs at a top Ohio HS who could not get into OSU.

this is saying average is 3.83 and 1355 SAT- which is about what I suspected.

probably not Northwestern or Michigan level- but close---- and considering the size....what ? 60,000 plus? pretty crazy. I doubt any school that big has near that difficult of requirements.

I'm sure he's angry about being a fan of a premier program who is in the title discussion what seems like every season.

It sucks.
I guess that’s all one can expect when they live in the cesspool of America.

or common sense or the abilty to be rational/objective.

me - "if we can replace Baker with Watson we should do it."
me - "Baker was beyond bad in 2021 and has been incredibly inconsistent in his career."
you - focused on Baker's balls?

OSU is a test optional school. Have you noticed the huge jump in posted average SATs all over the nation? That’s because the only kids who report SATs anymore are kids that score well above 1200.

Yep. You have defended Mayfield for years on two different message boards. We all know that Rain Man has no integrity when it comes to his sports opinions.

this is kind of interesting---- among 10 biggest colleges in the US- 3 are in the Big Ten- MSU, PSU, OSU.....all are pretty highly rated on US News and World Report Rankings.....OSU at #54....PSU at #56....about right.

I actually wanted the Guardians to look at both Bohm or Lux in a Lindor deal......

fortunately- they did the deal they did- since Gimenez is both a better defender and hitter than either of those guys.
No doubt this FO does well in these deals for us more often than not.

Baker Mayfield sucks bro. Give Brissett a top 3 OL and run game the way Mayfield played with and they likely have similar results. I’ve ranked both guys in the same tier I like to call “Not fucking good enough”. I know it. You know it. We all know it. The Browns sure as fuck know it. They were so QB desperate that they sent 3 1st round draft picks for a sexual deviant and public relations nightmare. You dont do that shit if Mayfield was serviceable. He’s a QB you play to bide time on a rookie deal. You don’t extend a guy like that with a 2nd contract. Dude blows. You want to split hairs creating multiple layers of “not good enough” then go to fucking town. But I don’t waste anytime debating or dissecting whether or not I prefer my shit sandwich with corn or with out corn. A shit sandwich is a shit sandwich. But I guess you have to do what you have to do when you’re an Expansion Browns fan.
long rant just to say Baker > Brissett

Is he? Then why did the Browns 2.0 trade 3 1st round picks for a public relations nightmare if BM is a legit NFL starter?
Because they believe the starter they received is far better and QB is important in football.

honestly- I think the biggest reason that ND would not come to the Big Ten is because of how many games they would lose. They would lose a lot of prestige over time.

OSU would of course run them- but a lot of the other teams could be very tough matchups. No one would ever have them in the national title conversation again when they would routinely loss 3-4 games in an average year.

I think the ACC is more likely for that reason--- they could prop up their record a lot better there and still have a shot at the major bowls. In the Big Ten they would probably be screwed the vast majority of years.

And I never debated that. I said they’re essentially in the same tier… not good enough. You want to split hairs over something as silly as “would you rather die in a plane crash or a train crash?”
fine- Jurts is in that same category of not good enough.

glad we could move on.

Browns might haveto wait a year- but no telling when Philly will ever get an elite QB--- which is honestly some of the bitterness on you I think.

That’s because those rankings skew to favor schools with big graduate level programs. The fact that they’re the big state school grants them access to research grants. Many big state public institutions lean heavily on their graduate level offerings and these metrics reward that. I work in this industry. You know what we call kids who rattle off US News rankings for the colleges they apply to? Suckers.

i'll defend Baker if he's worth defending. Say he was awful in 2021 and bad in 2019, that he is incredibly inconsistent, that he can be a D, etc. you'd get no disagreement from me.

Keep an eye on his balls though if you want.

Aren’t you an attorney? How does that go when you can’t fucking read? How many more times do you need me to agree with the idea that Jalen Hurts is a dog shit QB?!?!?

Clueless doesn’t command $120-150 an hour from over 1400 clients over the last decade.

it is not a surprise an ND fans hides behind academic achievement when their football team is nothing but a chew toy for the big boys. OSU is not Harvard- but it is a very good school.
