In recent memory, outside of Wade, Caron Butler, Justise Winslow - Riles and the Heat haven't exactly hit homers in the draft - it guarantees you nothing.

Butler, definitely not a draft homerun. I wouldn't call Winslow a homerun - yet. He may take another season or two to develop. And now Winslow's out for the season, which is great draft-wise, but sucks overall because it will stunt his development.

The bar isn't that high when it comes to Heat draft picks. I think almost any pick in the Top 10 this draft will almost guarantee a very nice player. It'll be a deep draft. I'd like to trade back in to the late 1st round if Dwayne Bacon slips that far.

Outside of seniors obviously entering the draft, draft depth/how deep the draft will be is a long way from being determined. And like I said, as of now there is no clear cut #1 pick.

As for Winslow he does have great potential -- he has accomplished a lot in his short career having been just 20 years old and only a year of college experience. The fact that we made the playoffs last season and he has those games under his belt helps a great deal.

As for the injury - sure, it hurts his development but the Heat will get him ready in due time and they make sure their players are always putting in some work even when banged up. Development wise he will be fine.

He hadn't been playing all that great prior to injury or this season overall to the standard he has set -- so his injury won't be much of an impact on the team beyond depth.

Its all good bro. We are all entitled to our opinion. But one must be called out when making a baseless statement such as to suggest anyone involved in this organization say something simply because its the politically correct thing to say - as to suggest they are full of BS..
