Win streak over for the Heat. Now time to regroup. That possession went as you would expect given how things have been tonight -- The guy gets passed D-Wade and he makes little effort to recover and gives up an easy bucket

Well,I think bk did say we would go 2-1 in this 3 game stretch but I don't think this one was the one you had us losing -- it wasn't a game we should've lost -- so of course we did

Weak ass layup attempt from Wade anticipating contact as usual rather than focusing on making the shot and doesn't get the call and comes up empty. Streak officially over.

Seems like in most cases that when you focus on quicker pace and more offense, the defense suffers.

The offense should run through and around Whiteside for larger chunks of the game.

We got that call, but honestly, we have not played well enough to win. They have out hustled us and beat us on second chance points and we are not going to win when Wade has as many turnovers as assists, makes defensive errors and shoots 5 for 13 from the field. Paolo is right. The Winslow flagrant and the 4 point swing rather than us being up 1 with the ball has cost us. Looks like Boston is playing well and could be difficult to catch for the 3rd seed. Meanwhile, the race in the East gets tighter as we head to Chicago and Toronto for tough back to back road tests. Interesting to see where this one ends up. Seems like Richardson and Dragic should have shot a little more.

That tends to happen -- yes. But hasn't happen as much of late for the Heat -- The real issue continues to be the turnovers -- the maximizes problems on both ends

I don't care about allowing more points because that is expected but there is no excuse for a team so shoot over 50%. You're not going to win many games allowing a team to shoot so well.

I agree. Poor defense and lack of scoring in the 4th is the reason for this L. We really need to win 1 of these next 2.

As Spo has said before, The Heat have to keep the turnovers to under 12 -- they go over, its asking for trouble -- such was the case tonight and too often this season. One too many of the unforced variety doesn't help.

Again, not the performance you'd want from the Heat after not playing since Sunday --- but one I expected

Playing this style and only playing a 8 man rotation is not going to end well. He needs to expand his rotation and find a few minutes for McRoberts and Green.

Going with an 8 man rotation in the regular season is a pretty bad decision IMO. Playing Toronto on the 2nd night of a B2B on Saturday using a 8 man rotation basically give us zero chance of winning that game. Pretty much if we want something out of this mini trip, we need to beat Chicago on Friday

1.5 games up on Charlotte and 2 games up on Atlanta (including our H2H tiebreaker).

At the end of the day catching Boston would be nice but its not very high on my list of things I want to see the Heat accomplish before the end of the season. You're going to play a 55+ win team either way without HCA in the 2nd round.

Agree with you but these guys were rested tonight. Remaining 18 games are interesting with Charlotte and Detroit and Boston playing much better. I think we lacked focus and intensity. To avoid a 3 game skid, important to win Chicago on Friday.

Turnovers were turnovers. End of the day we had a 5 point game entering the 4th. Should have won. Defense was awful and so was the offense in the final quarter

Agreed. I am all for playing Winslow and J-Rich but that doesn't mean you should disregard guys like McRoberts and Green. We are still playing for something. Banking on youngsters too much especially when we need so much more is just not going to get it done long term
