Agree with you but these guys were rested tonight. Remaining 18 games are interesting with Charlotte and Detroit and Boston playing much better. I think we lacked focus and intensity. To avoid a 3 game skid, important to win Chicago on Friday.

I'm not worried about Detroit. With our schedule, there's no way we finish lower than 6th unless the injury bug hit us again. Detroit are 4 losses behind us and are not even in the playoffs at the moment. The only teams behind us that I can see passing us are Charlotte and Atlanta. With our schedule I highly doubt that to be honest with you. This 3 game road trip was our only difficult stretch of the month IMO. I had us going 10-5 at least this month. I feel good about us hitting that mark.

I hope you are right bksballer. The five game win streak was a mirage and not that indicative. We beat the Knicks, the 76ers twice, the Suns, and the Bulls without one of their two top players and he had 3 of 5 at home. The last competive game we had against a decent team was a 10 point plus loss in Boston. Hope we get the focus back. This was a winnable game.

Also, remember that we are 0-2 against Detroit this year and have two more games against them. They could put some pressure on us and own the tiebreaker at the end. We just have to play well and win.

Detroit is the last team I'm worried about. If you're in 4th place and you're worried about a team that is 1) out of the playoffs and 2) 4 games behind you then something is wrong with you

We beat up on bad teams as we're supposed to. This was our reward for an absolutely brutal schedule in January and February. We took advantage of a favorable schedule as good teams do. Our remaining schedule is favorable and we will continue to take advantage. I don't think the streak was a mirage. We've been playing good ball for about 2 months now. Entering the night, we won 14 of 19 so yeah it's not like this team just started playing well when we started playing bad teams.

And the final score of that Boston game was misleading. That was a close back and forth game for basically 45 minutes. It was a 2 point game with under 5 to go so yeah Boston wasn't actually 10+ points better than us.

Andres came out of the woods after a loss of course.

Its just one game -- after a 5-game win streak. We had it coming. It was a winnable game and that is EXACTLY the type of game the Heat often lose. They will bounce back. This one game shouldn't be cause to think we will drop so much in the standings or anything like that -- Typical of Andres -- lose one game and talks about how we will be one of the bottom seeds or out of the plays -- we win -- he disappears.

ASK IRA: Is it time to get Whiteside back to starting?

The panic after one loss begins yet again. He plays starters minutes off the bench so it really makes little difference. But maybe he should start at the beginning of the second half to get his break midway through the third quarter or towards the end -- so that he is ready for start and early moments of the 4th.

Still, the way Hassan was used or not used is not the reason we lost this game -- so lets not make it such a big deal.

Yes he should start. Amare sucks. It is amazing how teams just attack the basket when he's on the court

But just imagine if the Heat had attacked more themselves

That point is irrelevant. Amare plays terrible defense and cannot protect the paint

Its relevant to me. But as I have been saying to everyone who is getting worked up about the loss -- Amare starting/playing and Hassan coming off then each is not the sole reason they lost -- if thats what people only want to point to that -- we may have bigger issues.

On to Chicago

In a statement, the Heat star said: "My situation this year has never been life threatening. I am feeling great and currently I do not have deep vein thrombosis. ... I have been working out, training with the team, watching film of the games, walking through plays, and have attended home games despite not being visible to the public. ... I remain positive that I will be able to return this season."

Playoff ready? I have always felt since this happened that if he were to return -- playoffs would be the target. Gives him time to get whatever treatment he needs and recover -- as long as we keep it together -- we don't need to rush him back

I recently ruled out deep vein for myself as well -- not fun stuff by any means.

This is great news. Just wish it came following a win and not a loss
