It is possible for Danny Jansen of the Red Sox is going to play for both teams in the same game. This is due to quirkiness around suspended games.
Growing up in Chicago, I often wondered it this ever happened or could ever happen. That was because of playing only day games at the time, at least 3 to 4 games a year were suspended due to darkness and having no lights.

It is so weird that because of the position, it is theoretically possible for a pitcher to be both the winner and loser in the same game.

To further the weirdness, Jansen appeared as the batter and catcher in the same "at bat." Jansen was the batter and took one pitch before the game was suspended in June. When the game resumed, he was the catcher.

So Jensen was on the winning and losing teams. Imagine if he were the pitcher of record on both.

As I said that is theoretically possible.

I'm trying to figure out how that is possible... the game would have to be suspended between innings with him the last pitcher on the mound for the team behind. Then he'd have to start the resumed game for the other team and give up the lead... giving him the win on his old team and the loss on the new team?

Would that even work? Or, would they allow it?

Sure, why not?

I would take men on base from the suspended game situation.

Pitcher A ends the inning for team 1 with his team losing or tied.

The game is suspended

Player A is traded from team 1 to team 2

Game resumes at a future date

Team 1 is batting and Team 2 is pitching

Player A gives up the lead to Team 1 and the lead does not change again for the rest of the game.
