Mariners get their first leadoff runner and Ackley grounds into a double play. I'm starting to think even Endy Chavez may be a better option than Ackley in LF.

Why doesn't Seattle bunt EVER? Do we not know how? Do we not believe in it? Is there any point after Ackley in our current lineup anyway? I mean we just need 1 run to tie it up. Only 2 more tries if you ground into a double play which good ol' Ackley is destined to do.

this needs to happen ASAP. He has always looked nervous but now he looks like he expects to hit a grounder to 2nd. They cannot continue to stay with him, send him down and either call up a young kid or stick bloomquist/chavez out there.
