New strategy to score on Noesi; leave bats in the dugout.

Sucks that Cano flew out. Can't be too mad at him considering he had the highest BA with RISP in the AL going into that AB.

A's would have had 10 walks in this game and won 7-0. We have to do everything right just to compete. That is a hard way to make the playoffs with little room for error.

Life of a Mariners fan I guess.

Shoulda been a Chisox sweep had they not choked away a game in the 9th yesterday - still pissed bout that one. Not everyday that you beat The King, but my guys found a way.

If you guys had some bats (other than Cano) you might be giving the A's a run for the their $$$. Yall's starting pitching and pen are awesome and 2nd to none, IMO!

Nice series M's ... good luck in Minny.

I know no one wants to hear this but Noesi has been a decent pitcher since joining the White Sox. Hes pitched great games against the Orioles, Dodgers and Indians who have much better offenses. We really should have been swept but in reality its a 4-2 trip. Hopefully we take care of business at home now

You know when he was pitching for the Mariners what everyone was saying is he has the "stuff" but it just doesn't translate to game time. I am not surprised he is pitching well. He does have some value. I never liked the guy though and he sure sucked when he pitched for us.

I appreciate that but my issue is what he seems to do in late inning clutch situations. Here is what is I mean.
Here is stats in Late/Close situations (Plate Appearances in the 7th or later with the batting team tied, ahead by one, or the tying run at least on deck)
11-47, 1 extra base hit, 3 RBI and .234/.321/.255

Here are his stats in a tie game period
26-110, 3 2B, 1 HR 16 RBIs and .236/.306/.291

Here are his stats when the M's are trailing by a run
48-205, 9 2B, 2 HR 22 RBIS and .261/.332/.342

I am not purposely trying to nitpick on him because I dont like him or hate the contract. Its just that pop up with the bases loaded got me curious so I did some research on it. I just cant recall Cano coming through in clutch situation to give us the lead or tie the game in the late innings. Personally I expect a lot for from him in those situations.

So where was all this "decent pitcher" stuff back when WE had him?!
