I hope Alex Jackson pans out... He was pegged as one of the best hitters in the draft in '14... So was Ackley... Hope we finally get a gem that pans out and plays up to expectations...

Can we get a solid MLB SP under contract for him? Not an ACE, but solid like Hill for A's? (Though I don't think Hill is under contract)

Ok i had to edit this reply a little. I was starting to write a long confusing book with all the different trade possibilities I have been thinking of lately.... That said rather it be a little more simple.

Simple answer is yes I think you can absolutely get a solid pitcher for him but depending on who it is it might and probably will take a few extra pieces especially if they are under contract. That said I think Seattle will get out bid by teams when its crunch time near the deadline.

At the very minimum Seattle needs to add some depth to the SPing.

Zona, have you seen O'Neill place? How is he looking as a fielder? Don't know if he was at spring training but didn't see or hear about him. Just wondering if he is a guy that is an actual OF or another guy they will try to convert to 1B.

I have seen him only a couple times briefly on TV. Not enough to gauge his defense. I would love to see if he is legit or not. I am hoping he plays again in the AZFL so I can see him. I didn't get the chance last year to go watch him. After watching Alex Jackson here and him breaking his face then watching Peterson and him going in the toilet, I decided I was jinxing these guys so I never went back...LOL!
