I don't think that this really hurts any with health Gore and hunter. He's not shown much in return game

He's been a disappointment so far. Making first guy's miss, but then not taking advantage of it. It looks like he's trying to figure out his best weight. May have lost some speed with the added muscle. He wasn't running away from anyone this preseason and can actually stand to back off the weight and get all the speed back to focus on the 3rd down role. He shouldn't have to worry about 1st and 2nd down anymore.

True that he didn't impress much in the preseason but he is the third RB in depth and first in returns (unless that changed). Hunter coming off of an injury and Frank,well...not to worried that he can't handle the load but he is aging. If not James then who? I think K .Williams is a better WR than a KR/PR. We would need more depth at RB unless Dixon is in top form. I know James will be out only for 2 to 4 weeks but this is just food for thought if it this was long term.

I like Hunter at this point for anything LMJ is put in the game for. It looks like Dixon has matured this year too. I was really surprised when he scored that last TD with the gore-ex reach and just gave the ball over to the ref like it was no big deal.

He'll be activated as soon as he's able for ST's play though. I don't think we want him iced for too long.

Yea that was my edit about Dixon. I'm still concerned about our depth at KR/PR with James out for a bit.

Agreed- he seems more natural at it. I'm also hoping they don't put KW there, because he needs to be concentrating on WR.

Just an FYI...It was mentioned on last night's broadcast that LMJ put on some weight in order to be a better pass protector. Simply put, he has yet to adjust to playing to the additional weight he gained...
