Brilliant week for them.

They give Bynum 6M when others teams laughed at his MRI.

Then, they need a 3 point shooter. Want Miller. Can get him for nothing. Then decide against it because Miller suddenly announces he might need back surgery:L.

Pretty sure that at 5:01 EST the possible need for surgery ended.

Mike Miller is now a free agent and his "likely" destination is OKC. Mike avoided Cleveland. Well done Mike, well done.

Obviously passed, hence the thread.

They were the only waiver eligible team that was interested.
They could have claimed him for the minimum, whatever that is.

Now, Miller gets paid twice and can handpick between Grizzles or Thunder.

I may be wrong but I think the salary he will get from his next team gets discounted from what Miami will have to pay him.

I thought so too, but from the conversation last night, if you are claimed, the money is subtracted.
If you sign as a FA, you get ton double dip.

@T12 hahaha there yes.

I think Miller should ride off into the sunset and enjoy hie $13m but he probably has something left.

I do not want him to go to OKC though, it would have to be weird for him to play along side the same guys he destroyed in the finals.

I might actually become a Lebron fan if he plays for OKC with Durant. Durant is currently my second favorite player.

Me too, I just want them to get RANGZ! Trade Westbrook for LBJ and Cole or chalmers BOOM!

As much fun as it would be to see Lebron, Durant and Westbrook playing together, OKC couldn't keep Harden. How are they going to afford to add Lebron?

I think Miller would be a good addition for OKC!! Don't think he'd put them over the top, but he sure wouldn't hurt their chances!!

Miller has a beautiful house in Memphis.
How much better are Ok City chances of winning a championship the next 2 years then the Grizzlies?

When you have a wife and 3 young kids, you have to consider more then yourself.

He already has 2 rings in the bank and survived his biggest nightmare (Cavs).

I'm thinking Memphis has at least a 50% chance or better.

I think tge Cavs have had a good free agency. But if they would of got miller when they had the chance that would of been a huge pickup. They need shooters!

Is Memphis interested? I agree that they should be, but have only seen the mutual interest with OKC!!

IF Lebron even shows marginal interest next year, OKC will get rid of everybody they need to get rid of to get him, you can be sure of that. Except Durant, of course.

Strong mutual interest..............and now James to Ok City:laugh3:

I have said all along the he would never play for Gilbert again, but they are actually number 2 on the list.

The Heat are a strong, strong #1 though.
Something meteoric will have to happen for him to leave next year.

Part of the Cavs plan with Miller was to further entice James.
James loves reliable shooters around him.

If the real reason the Cavs decided to not claim him was the 9 p.m. sudden back surgery, then someone needs to be fired there.
