Howard doesn’t fit the scheme. I wouldn’t mind seeing him go if we could bring in an all purpose back. It would be stupid to spend money to lock him up.

Aren't we low on cap space? And isn't Howard on a rookie contract?
Can we afford an all-purpose RB?


Let me also add that plenty of RB have had down seasons based on ypc.

The run-blocking scheme was changed and he made the o-line look better.

The stats are there. Our run blocking regressed, not the backs. Likely due to the increased emphasis on the passing game in practice and the short passes in place of running.

I like Nagy, but the idea of a strictly west coast offense in Chicago is myopic.


You and I both know, that running the ball still matters, particularly late in the season when the games matter the most.

I'm all for getting some in betweener, like many have mentioned, but also realize it's not a given that we will.
