The more I think about this the dumber I think it is the 6th highest paid qb is mark sanchez!!!
Keep in mind he signed his contract when rooks were paid obscenely. The new money actually isn't going to be very much by the time he gets to those years IMO.
people seem to be willing to forgive bad play from Alex Smith in years past, but Mark Sanchez has 2 and a half more years to get to Alex's age and it seems like most people have written him off because of one bad year.
i was shocked by this. He is making $10 million a year and one of the highest paid QB's in the NFL and hasn't come close to playing like one. I know wins are all that matters in the NFL and he has been very good in the playoffs but damn thats alot of money. Now the ball is in Sanchez and the Jet's OC's court. They have to figure this thing out and decide how this thing is gonna work.
agreed.
did he play well in the play-offs?
Of his six postseason games, he has three passer ratings above 100, and one at 93 (the other two are in the 60s). He only broke 200 yards passing in two of those, though, and and his team only cracked 20 points twice. Some of his performances are pretty reminiscent of Smith's Championship game performance, which was a 97 rating for perspective.
Unreal 5yr 58mil??? He definitely doesn't deserve to get paid over 10mil a year.
Is this the price of the Jets openly asking about Manning and hurting the Sanchizes feelings? So when Manning turned them down, they had to overpay for Sanchez to keep him from demanding a trade?
ok, thanks
guess i was only recalling the worse games?
