hmmmmm....Honest question, if LeBron does leave are you still rooting for him or are you just a Cavs fan? @gordontrue is on record as a LeBron fan so he will probably switch allegiance.
Soooo....not a LeBron fan specifically LOLhmmmmm....
honestly id probably hope he would tear his ACL and achillees in the same play.
Maybe if he went to Houston id root for him over GSW but thats about it....i might even root for him in Philly when they play Boston but thats about it
if he went to LA id hope he developed an anti-biotic resistant form of gonorrhea that he had to live with the rest of his life.

see i dont get that---- i wouldnt let my personal feelings for a player influence enjoying my hometown team winning. At least you're honest. If he does go to LA, it'll be interesting to see how you and @ChiefsLakers67 get along. Because he'll be right there with you then.

I ahte Joakim Noah with a passion but if he were a Cav id be rooting for him big time.
as soon as he left id hate his guts again.
Every great NBA coach had teams with great players. If you agree to take into account Pop wasn't a good coach before Duncan either.
It's been told that he was one game away from getting fired early in Duncan's career.
Frankly, the only reason we're even discussing Pop now is their tank job and some damn ping pong balls.

I would say it depends on the team.
Stevens is great for the Celtics because he's coaching a young team. A lot of those guys literally could still be in college right now.
For the Cavs, Stevens is not a good fit. You just need someone who is going to defer to LeBron. LeBron is probably smarter than most of the coaches in the NBA.
I think for the really great NBA teams, a guy like Phil Jackson is good. Keep the morale up and just keep the guys playing together.
Either way I would say coach means least in the NBA out of any pro sport.
Exhibit A:. Melo.I disagree with this. Great players want to win and they want to be coached. Going back to Jordan, Dr J, Bird, Magic, and earlier and more recent great players and they've all said the same things about being coached hard and putting all the players in the best position to win. The guys that don't want to be coached hard and put in the best position to win are almost never great players. They might have good stats and look good when playing, but they don't win rings.
Exactly...won't take a bench role ... that makes him a loser that won't do what it takes to win a ringExhibit A:. Melo.
The elites IMO are Pop, Stevens, Carlisle, maybe Spoelstra. Kerr needs to show what he can do without an all-time loaded team. Need a bit more resume from Snyder but he's probably there too.
Oh and Hornacek, forgot him right @Pastafazul ?
