What the hell! Not a single vote.

BOSTON -- Celtics coach Brad Stevens said he's not disappointed that he didn't receive a vote from his peers in balloting for the Michael H. Goldberg National Basketball Coaches Association Coach of the Year Award.

If Kyrie has further injury issues it might get interesting with him and Rozier. Kyrie is unrestricted FA next summer. Rozier is restricted.

Might be an interesting debate there.

Oh no. Rozier.

Irving will be leaving.

No they aren't.

Especially not Carlisle.

It does not get any better than the job Stevens has done the last 2 years. Absolutely masterful.
Yes it does get better.

Like winning a title with a team that is clearly less talented like Carlisle.

I was on the Stevens is a great coach train before anyone- but I would never put him over Carlisle or Pop at this point when, in the grand scheme of things, he hasn't won dick.

as i have said a million times

when he was on the Cavs he had mostly minor unlucky injuries- and one major one- the displaced knee cap that caused him to miss the finals and half the season (and a lot longer than i thought he would miss if you remember- i lost a bet on it)

since he was traded he has now had a 2nd and 3rd knee surgery on the same knee. As Bill Simmons says- there is no such thing as a minor knee surgery for an NBA player.

I wouldnt worry if Kyrie broke his toe, or fractured his wrist, or strained his hamstring etc...

What would and now does worry me about Kyrie is hes 26 years old and has had 3 surgeries on the same knee and its cost him the playoffs 2 out of the last 4 years.

In the next 4 seasons after this one- would you bet Kyrie plays in the playoffs (assuming the Celts- or whoever he is playing with) each of the next 4 years or would you guess he is hurt for at least one of the next 4 years?

at this point i know what i would guess.

Kyrie's new nickname will probably be Always Injured Irving.
