I decided to look at some top-heavy teams from 2017 to see if your point is valid. This appears to be the equivalent of Houston losing Trevor Ariza, OKC losing Enes Kanter, Washington losing either Markieff Morris or Otto Porter, or Toronto losing Serge Ibaka. Losing any of those guys would hurt those teams . . . but none of those teams are winning 40 less games next season if any of those guys were to walk.

Conclusion: Stupid post.

Yeah, bringing in a new guy wouldn't upset chemistry or anything.

I get that, but the way that RW reacted tells me that they probably weren't as close as most thought-or as close as Pau & Kobe.

And even if RW felt like KD had ducked him he could've picked up the phone & had a private conversation with him about it rather than act out in the media and/or when they met on the court. I think that's the reason close relationships break up in most cases. People don't know how to communicate about things that are not easy to talk about and so they clam up. Nothing gets resolved that way. I believe it's important to be able to call people out-especially the ones closest to you to help keep the relationship honest & healthy.
