Oh no!!! Kobe was forced to get stuck with Phil fucking Jackson and prime Shaq???? How awful.

How has Lebron choosing players and Spoelstra/Blatt/Lue (not sure he chose them) worked out? 6 finals trips, 3 Championships. More finals MVP's as the top dog for a championship team than Kobe.

But Kobe has more rings, dude. . .

And I won't use "more rings" when comparing Kobe to Pippen, Ramsey, Horry or Loscutoff either. I guess my logic doesn't change when the jersey on the player does. Kobe's better than those guys because he is a better player. "his teams have fewer rings" isn't determining that.

Kobe's winning mentality > Lebrons will to win individual accolades.

Doesn't matter, cause they "feel" like Kobe wanted to win more than Lebron does, like in their feeeeelings...

LOL it's so inaccurate. When the Lakers lost in 2008, he had two good games in the Finals, shot 40% overall and was awful in Game 6 when the Celtics destroyed them. In 2010 he didn't show up in Game 7, got bailed out by his teammates and made 1 shot in the 4th quarter. They say he is more of a closer, wants it more, etc. The fact is, it just isn't true, very inaccurate.

I also said that Lebron was a better all around player than both MJ.

I have to disagree. The stats don't really support that statement.

Lebron is better in eFG% (.532 v. .509), DRB (6 v. 4.7), TRB (7.2 v. 6.2), AST (6.9 v. 5.3)

MJ is better in points (30.1 v. 27.2), ORB (1.6 v. 1.2), Steals (2.3 v. 1.7), FT% (.835 v. .744), and fewer TOVs (2.7 v. 3.4)

Blocks and FG% are a wash.

And that is taking into account MJ's Wizards years...

Where Jordan separates himself is when the playoffs roll around. It is all here in this link.

James should take a two year retirement cruise around the league once he's a shell of his former self.

1 ring can be a fluke...5...not so much.
Thats true. I guess Miami should have bought the best in the game to help Dan like the Lakers did for Kobe. I wonder what would have happened if Miami did buy the best who accounted for 20% of those on the field like Shaq did for LA on the floor.

Who did the Lakers buy? Last I checked, they traded for Shaq, then Pau and drafted Kobe. Miami needed to spend some money/draft some defense to help Marino.

You answered your own question. Shaq. Best center in the game at the time. If I remember Shaq was also the MVP in the finals during that time.

I'm a baseball guy. Is this like when the Yankees "didn't buy" A-Rod because they traded for him?

Don't know. Don't really follow baseball. I just know that a trade isn't "buying" a player. Even if the Lakers (or the Yankees) "bought" a player...who cares? The only people who complain about it are fans of teams that can't/won't buy players. Those fans should complain to their teams ownership instead of crying about how another team "bought" a player.

Last I checked, the point is to put a winning product on the court/field.

So you're issue is that the Lakers signed an unrestricted free agent who was free to go to any team he wanted and chose the Lakers?

I guess you think that the Cavs "buying" Lebron wasn't okay either then?

"Acknowledging" something is not synonymous with "complaining" about something.
