So you think the military is better at setting up your career then going to college? Again, I’m not talking down to people who choose the military I’m just saying it’s my opinion that college opens more doors.

I think it’s better to take college loans and when you graduate you will make a lot more. You lose several years of high earning going to the military. What career are you better off going to the military for then going to college. I can’t think of any.

Biggest fallacy ever that Universities brain wash their students with liberal info. I went to many years of college and in math we learned math. In anatomy and phys we learned about the body. In English we learned English skill (even though I never learned then/than). We learned a foreign language in language class. In biomechanics we learned about parabolic paths and terminal velocity. This whole Universities brain wash kids with liberal politics is a complete LIE! Yes, most professors are liberal. The highly educated Doctorate person tends to be liberal. I think the money, 401k etc lost while in the military doesn’t equal the benefit of going to college first. That’s not a ludicrous thought. That’s cool and I never felt that you can’t be successful using the military as a spring board. I said that I think it’s better just to go straight to University or Comm College start earning and pay off your debt.
I’m retired too. I was close to earning a full pension but could cut out a few years early because of an inheritance and my wife has a 7 figure 401k

That’s true. The only time I think debt is ok is education and a home. I guess cars too but to a lesser degree. Too many get way into debt buying cars that are too nice for their income.
