Rams trade with Browns: Swap 1st and get additional 1st and 2nd round.
Rams trade with Atlanta: Swap 1st and receive 2nd round.

So Rams draft: Jake Mathews @ #6
Mack @ #13
Calvin Prior @ #26

I wouldn't complain about it for sure. But I would take Watkins at 6 and with 3 second rd picks fix the Oline there. Realistically Mack won't make it past Tampa or Buffalo.

I'm actually okay with Mack, Barr or Mosely. All three I believe will be good NFL players if healthy.
I also wouldn't complain if We took Watkins at 6 instead of Jake but I personally think Jake Mathews is going to be an elite Tackle in the league. At this point Jake Long will never be the same and Saffold is a few games away from being hurt once again.

Would be interesting if it went: Watkins @ 6 / Lewan @ 13 and Prior @ 26

3 different players, really. The ideal upside comparisons for those 3 are Von Miller (Mack), Jason Taylor (Barr) and Lavonte David (Mosley). I wouldn't say any of them directly fit a Rams team need but if they are there outside of the top 10, I think most teams have to at least consider them.

If, and that is a BIG if, that scenario happens (and I am almost 100% sure Cleveland will not trade both 1st's in a deal) then I think the best possible way we could draft those 3 firsts and 3 seconds would be like this:

1a Khalil Mack
1b Calvin Pryor or HaHa Clinton-Dix (neither will make it to 26)
1c Zack Martin
2a Jason Verett
2b Xavier Su'a-Filo
2c Timmy Jernigan or Aaron Donald

However, a more reasonable scenario would be like this. We trade with Atlanta and get a 2nd and 4th to drop to #6. Then we trade with Miami and get a 2nd and 3rd to drop from #13 to #17

1a Jake Matthews
1b Calvin Pryor
2a Jason Verett or Bradley Roby
2b Xavier Su'a-Filo
2c Kyle Van Noy or Ryan Shazier

one thing I'm getting worried about is ATL more then likely can stay at 6 and still get Clowney, Mack, or one of the 3 Tackles. they might not think its worth giving up picks when the are guaranteed a blue chip player at 6. especially with Mack really coming on strong. its starting to look like the QB needy teams are our best option.

Cleveland won't be trading up.

Report is they have more interest in Carr than Johnny Football. If that is the case, no need to trade up because Carr will most likely be available for their #26 pick.

The only reason to trade then would be to get Watkins. They would have to be afraid the Rams would take Watkins in order to make a trade, but they wouldn't trade the #26 pick because then they couldn't get Carr.

Carr sounds like someone the Browns would pick. I think the Browns will trade up and take Bridgewater at 2.

Nothing but speculation at this point. It's way too early to really know who the Browns want. I don't think they even know who they want. I'm sure their FO is the one of the worst the NFL has ever seen.

Just seen this updated mock on NFL. Com. Unfortunately I could see this happening with no trade offer to the Rams. Of course no one will no if the Jags go Mack instead of a QB so a QB needy team might trade with the Rams. I'm really thinking Oakland could trade with us.

1. Hou- Clowney
2. STL- Robinson. If we lose Saffold I'm sure they will do this.
3. Jac- Mack
4. Clev- Watkins
5. Oak- Manziel
6.Atl- Matthews
7. Bucs- Brotels
8. Viks- Bridgewater
9. Bills- Evans
10.Det- Gilbert
11. Ten- Barr
12. NYG- Lewan
13. STL- Pryor. No complaints here. I'm good with Pryor or Dennard here.

Browns are blowing smoke. My gut tells me they are all over Bridgewater.

I agree. You can't win without a QB. Not to mention they will be able to get a good WR at 26.

Same with the Jags. They need a QB more than a 3-4 OLB. What QB are they going to get in the second round?

This probably is irrelevant to talk about but I really want to see Trey Millard in a Ram uniform. I'm not sure I've seen a fullback quite like him in college(That I've watched anyway). He'll be a 6th or 7th round guy but holy shit the guy is nothing short of really effing good at the FB position. Hell the guy can play hybrid as a tailback too. Have any of you ever watched him play? Do we need a fb?

For what it's worth... the buzz up here in N.E. Ohio says that Blake Bortles is the guy the Browns covet most. Many cite his larger frame and above average athletic ability mirrors that of QBs, Ben Roethlisberger and Joe Flacco, making him the "logical fit" for the division.

So how excited will everyone be when the regular season starts and our #2 overall is playing Guard?
