Lolz... Had to look up Paxton & Terminator... Holy sh!t! Been a minute since I've watched that movie from the beginning. Most times I just tune in at some random point when its on the tv.

I wish jakedog was still around... I'm sure you probably knew him outside of this thread (seahawks fan), but in here he loved talking about the Alien movies, amongst others.

Not sure whatever happened to him but he used to be a regular in this thread . He made a reappearance some time ago under a different name. Thereturnofjakedog or something like that.

I think the mythology of both the Aliens and the Predators have a lot of untapped potential.

Agreed. I understand the tradition of those movies as a clash with humans, but yea there is so much more that can be done. That’s why I loved Prometheus & Covenant so much. They explored the Alien realms & background far more.

There are websites and Youtube videos devoted to the physiology and understanding of the alien xenomorph.
Same thing with the Predators.

I think they strike a similar chord in our archetypes for heroes and villains.

Anybody seen the trailer for Unhinged? I'd post it but I am at work at the moment. I am able to access the IMDB that I will post below. Stars Russell Crowe and appears to be about a guy that is going through a bad day and gets a case of road rage where he takes a woman and her child through hell. Sounds like a typical B level type of story, but I am intrigued because I think Crowe is a great actor, so I do believe this could be a good movie through his own ability.

For real, I rewatched the trailer a couple times and man, there are moments in the trailer where I think Crowe is already great. Definitely interested in this.

But I still want Nice Guys 2.

DUH! He did survive an F5 tornado though!

Speaking of Bill Paxton, a good movie (not really horror) with him that I don't think a ton of people know about is "A Simple Plan". Pretty good, Billy Bob Thornton and Bridget Fonda are in it too.
