The guys who centered the 3rd-4th lines last year are either off the roster or Handzus. Focus on the pricetag if you wish, but to say he doesn't fill any just isn't true.
TSN is painfully behind Kuba signed with the lighting 2 years 8 mill Suter is going to get like 10 mill at this rate
>>The San Jose Sharks agreed to terms with free-agent forward Adam Burish on a four-year contract worth a reported $1.8 million per season.
Burish, who won a Stanley Cup as a member of the Chicago Blackhawks in 2010, spent the past two seasons with the Dallas Stars. He is coming off a career year statistically with six goals and a personal-best 19 points in 65 games.
A ninth-round pick in the 2002 NHL Draft, Burish is known more for his ability to get under opponents' skin. He averages more than a penalty minute per game and as a rookie in 2007-08 had 214 PIMs in 81 games.<<
Oh man, I musta missed earlier that he was signed for 4 years... wtf, why such a long deal for a worthless player.... LOL career year last year with 6 goals... Averages more then a penality a game. great, more time on the PK for SJ haha
Holy fuck! 4 years! I missed that.
Who the fuck was Doug bidding against? This is on par with the Nitty signing imo. I kept thinking, who the hell was Doug bidding against?
he doesnt actually hit that much, he only gets 1 credited hit per game or so. He's also not exactly a big guy, at 190lb. he's a solid 4th liner, depth player and thats it. It doesnt address any need.
Probably bidding against the voices in his head lmao

Yeah just saw his stat line he doesn't hit much. I thought I remembered him as a hitter. I might have been thinking of Bickell.
Bickell, Burish, both were Blackhawks. idk...

Doug: Hey I wanna offer Burish 2 years at $1.3
Agent: Hold on Doug... Oh someone, just offered 4 years at $1.5.
Doug: For real?
Agent: Uhm yeah for real.
Doug: I totally believe you dude. How about 4 years $1.8?
Agent: Cool. Oh, there's also this beachfront property in Nebraska I wanna sell you.

4.5 is steep, but looking at what he did last year, it could actually be pretty cheap. Players who put up 26 goals and over 70 points and +26 are really worth at least 6M. Obvily, he signed for 1.5M cheaper cuz he's 40, but looking at his history, he has shown zero signs of slowing down. (82gp, 75gp, 80gp, and 82gp the last 4 years and point total of 77, 57, 58, and 77). No slowing down at all and if he maintains it for 2 more years, 4.5 will be a steal. I would rather dougie have signed a deal like this than throw 2M at a 4th liner.
