Odd isn't it? No one knew about Zappe and now the Saints, Dolphins and Seahawks are calling Bill about a trade when Mac comes back.

Would you trade him for a first or second in 2023?

Hell no.
Ha...

I would play Zappe until he starts to falter.
If he doesn't, I would trade Mac for a 1st, hell yes.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports Damien Harris (hamstring) will "likely miss multiple games."

Harris left New England's Week 5 game against the Lions with the hamstring injury and did not return. Rhamondre Stevenson, at long last, got a full workload as the team's only healthy running back and piled up 161 yards on 25 rushes. He also caught two passes for 14 yards while running a route on 73 percent of Bailey Zappe's drop backs. Stevenson becomes a plugged-in low-end RB1 option in 12-team leagues for as long as Harris is sidelined. Stevenson has run well through five games; only seven RBs have a better elusive rating, according to Pro Football Focus. Of course, pass catching specialist Ty Montgomery could strip Stevenson of some passing down work when he returns from a rib injury he suffered in Week 1. Stevenson should be the top waiver priority in any league where he's still somehow available.

I could be totally wrong here but I just get this weird feeling that Mac is going to be one of those injury prone QB's. Zappe needs to keep working his ass off and wait for his opportunity if Mac takes the gig back.

I could be wrong about this too but I'm not sure that Mac brings a first round pick, unless he turns his season around, in which case we don't trade him.

With Mac and Hoyer down I cannot see BB entertaining a QB trade/
But it never stops other teams from asking. Especially if they see something they like. Then again, they make stupid offers and get rejected out f hand.

I agree that Bill wouldn't even consider talking about it unless someone offered an incredible deal.

So... Mac Jones leads us to the playoffs last year after missing the playoffs the year previous. He was a Pro Bowl alternate. Was the best Rookie QB in what most experts felt was maybe the best QB class ever. Has a rough start this year with interceptions and you want to trade him because Zappe had an ok game against the worst defense in the NFL. It wasn't a great game. It was a good game. I will take Mac thank you.

Exactly and why I was pointing out I think BB knows that performance came against the worst defense in the NFL supported by a strong run game.

You are probably totally correct in your belief that Mac is the better QB. And you are also correct about the Lion's D. And we did only score one TD on offense. And while I'm not one of the one's suggesting we trade Mac I will say that I really liked what I saw from Zappe in preseason and have thought that he just had a really good awareness and feel for the field. Just my incredibly inexperienced view from the cheap seats but I really like Zappe so far and I am starting to wonder about Mac's long term effectiveness. I'll be happy to be proven wrong.

Since you quoted me should I assume you're calling a fickle fucker and cocksucker?

Not sure why you'd call me a fickle fucker. I never expressed any loyalty to Mac other than if he's our QB I'm rooting for him.

And cocksucker? Really?

You should never assume anything from anything I type. If it strikes a nerve with someone well, mehhh, I guess the proof is in the pudding.

Time will tell...of course.
I still think Mac will be, at the very least, a very very good QB.

For me, I don't like the dancing and celebrating TD's when behind in the game. Especially in games with multi int's. Celebrate a a win.

Pierre Strong and/or Kevin Harris get a crack this week? Any idea who the next man up is?

Hopefully Damien returns sooner than later but we did draft a couple of backs with upside.
Neither has shown much yet. Both will be better "next year"
Next year has come early.....

Spot on!
I liked Zappe at the draft, before the game and after the game but let's not crown him yet.....

#Patriots RB Damien Harris is likely to miss multiple games because of the hamstring injury he suffered in Sunday's win over the #Lions, per source. Still getting tests, but the expectation is he'll be out for a bit.
