There are two ways to improve.
1) Hire proven talent via free agency in which you pay more for that proven commodity.
2) Draft semi unproven talent for a much lower initial cost but may be with the team much longer if they prove themselves.

It's a risk and if done correctly can bring in Lombardi trophies again and again.
Bill has done this.

Even though the QB who shan't be mentioned gets all the credit for drafting, recruiting defensive schemes etc...

1) The coach /GM who shan't be mentioned ,spent over 200 mill in FA in 2021for all busts except Judon. Agholar, Jonnu Smith etc and Hunter Henry has been so so. How is Zeke working out so far?

2) when was the last time he drafted someone who has become a probowler? And not talking about Mac being a QB fill-in. Guy is a narcissist who only listens to his college coach buddies. Saban, Chip Kelly, Schiano etc. When his scout told him a few years ago to not take N'Keal Harry in the first round because of his issues but to take AJ Brown or DJ Metcalf, of course he didn't listen because the Wizard of Foxborough is the smartest man behind the curtain .

This team was designed to run the ball. Run blocking is now a bigger problem than pass protection. Who would've thunk?

If it continues they need more runs outside the tackles. Right now they can't open up anything inside.

According the what Phil Perry is writing the OL will be:

T Brown, Strange, D Andrews, Owenu, Anderson for the game Sunday.

All things considered, this will be the starting OL for the remainder of the season.

Good? Bad? Serviceable? Enough to give mac 3+ seconds to find a WR?

All I'm going to say is this: If the Patriots can avoid turnovers, they will win this game going away. If they start like the past two with two turnovers in the first quarter, switch the channel.

The Pats have got to get an earlier start, and IMO Red Zone issues are still a major concern. Last weeks INT at the one was squarely on MAC, he should never had thrown that ball. We continue to be able to drive the ball downfield and start doing dumb, shitty stuff once we get around the 30. BOB needs to look at was is going on once we cross mid field.

Mostly agree but I'll add that they dig themselves into a hole, nearly get out of it, but have the fire power to finish the deal. The team seems to be much better than last year yet these first two games are eerily similar to last years team in the aforementioned ways.

Agree. Team is much better, more dynamic and exciting to watch, but those miscues are costing big time. Hope they clean it up against the Jets and moving forward.

It was all Brady years ago that resisted the coaching and got his team member to play with passion.

Patriots had a very rare full pads, closed Friday practice yesterday. In the stadium.

Security made sure that no media got in and the level walkway below the lighthouse had a tarp to prevent anyone from seeing what was going on.

BOB must be putting some kind of wrinkle in the offense. The no huddle worked very well against the Eagles and the Dolphins. Maybe he's trying to hurry it up even more.

Knowing how well BB has had the defense ready for Zach Wilson in his Jets career (0-4), you know that he's going to throw Gonzales (CB Blitz) and Duggar (Safety Blitz) at him at least one time each.

Coaches are responsible for getting a team ready to play.

Mistakes are made and they are responsible for helping the team understand what went wrong and how avoid repeating it.

This team made the exact same mistakes in Game #2 that they made in Game #1. So who's to blame? From the cheap seats, the players are responsible. You know that the staff went over every mistake and penalty. Humans are creatures of habit, and we tend to revert to our basic habits under stress. I'm positive thet the coaches went over every misplay, penalty and turnover in detail and everyone knows exactly what they did wrong. The big question is this: Can these players prevent themselves from riverting to the same basic instinct?

Reaching out and grabbing an opponent's shirt?
Running with the ball surface open to a slap?
Not taking a one third second looi to see where a second or third defender is lurking before throwing a forty yard pass?
Not anticipating the count and jumping the hike?

Prevent yourself from doing something you know will get a flag? It's a milli-second reaction that kills a drive, a score or a first down.

I pray that we won't be saying the same thing for a third week in a row.........".IF they hadn't, they'd be 3-0 and not 0-3."
