I just hope Cashman's gamble that 2 guys who combined for a grand total of 1 inning last year are going to make up for and hopefully exceed what Tanaka gave works out.

As may be apparent, I have my doubts.

I like the “volume” approach, considering they were never going after a Bauer type

Cole
Kluber
Taillon
Seve
German
Momtgomery
Schmidt
Garcia

sure they will be in the trade market in July

think our best hope is by October, Cole and Seve form a real 1-2, and one of the others emerges as a reliable 3rd

No idea what to expect from Severino, so I guess he fits right in with everyone else. LOL

I know Cole seems to be pretty high on what he thinks Taillon will bring, so that's something I guess.

East is going to be full of questionable rotations.

I think this AL is as weak as ever, maybe I’m getting ahead of myself, but I just feel it’s all about October, I think they will manage to scrape together their 93-100 wins with the weakness of that league.

think I would have preferred that $11 mill go to Paxson than Kluber, still a risk, just a lot less

and I also got a hunch on Taillon. Feels like a Tampa move that works out, electric arm with an underachieving/injury history

Good for him. Love the guy and what he did here. Yankees were wise to realize it was time to move on, glad he won’t come back to haunt us
Great work by Cashman. He replaces a solid #3 innings-eater with 2 dead guys. This guy....I’ve been telling you for YEARS.

Send this rotation to 2017 and you are all set! Not that I think there are many good teams in the AL. I just see Cole and pray for rain in that list.

You too buddy. How’s things? I always have to worry your dead
lol. I always make sure to pop up just so you know I’m not dead! I know that you worry. Things are good. My daughter is in school so that is a huge plus. My wife and I have both worked from home for a full year and haven’t killed each other...yet. Can’t really complain. How about you? Are your girls in school? Are you still in the City?

I have no doubts that the Yankees will win 95ish games and be a top seed in the playoffs. But have they gotten better this Winter?? I don’t think so. I see you slotting Kluber and Taillon in at #2 and #3. Not sure that is realistic. But there is some depth there at least.

“World Series or bust” turned into “the playoffs are a crapshoot” so gradually, I almost didn’t notice.

I’m permanently remote, cool for a while, now kinda missing the office. Girls went back to school, but we are thinking of bringing them back home with the spikes in the school system. Wife remote, trying to get her back to work, especially since she doesn’t do oral anymore. Our bar has been closed obviously, thankfully we own the building or we’d be in tons of trouble. Prob gonna get out of the city if real estate normalizes at some point, I’m not selling in this climate. Thanks for the Bitcoin tip 2 years ago!

The best kept secret for the past half decade with the Yankees is that they never hit in the playoffs. Starting pitching takes a backseat to the fact that all the swing and miss bumslayers they have compiled, get dominated by they elite October pitchers

besides DJ, that was the best move this offseason, that’s a bad mother

Glad to hear that you are hanging in there. Such a bizarre time and I know how f’d up that city has become. Hopefully we are on the back end of the madness.

Nice work on Bitcoin!!! Wow. I was in and out of that one and did just fine. Might play it again. I hope some of the guys on the other site took some of my stock tips. It’s been an insane run. Weird disconnect between the stock market and the economy out there.

Jets always points out that we would all be rich if we followed your tips on the other site. I dove in on Bitcoin and did nice on that

I liked the DJ move(obviously). Not sure about the 6 years, but I bet he’s the same guy for 3-4 of those years.

Kluber and Taillon are like having Paxton back??? Neither one has thrown over 40 innings since 2018. They should have figured out how to keep Tanaka. He was an under-appreciated piece.

Not that my Sox are anything special...though I do think they will be better than last season. Ottavino??? Decent pickup?? I think he’s the new closer. Lol.
