Yankees signed McCann for 5 years, $85 Million with an option for a 6th year to take the contract to $100 Million. So with Ruiz and McCann off the market and a very unlikely reunion with Salty, it's looking more like Soto might in fact start the season as the primary starting C. I'm ok with that as long as we can add one (or more) of the other top bats left available. That list reads (in no particular order):
Cano
Ellsbury
Choo
Beltran
Napoli
Granderson
Cruz
There's also the trade route, where these names have been mentioned by sources of varying credibility as possible targets:
Kemp
Ethier
Bautista
Wieters
Tavares
And there's still always the chance the Rangers swing the much talked about deal for Price.
I'd personally like to see 2 more moves happen, either adding 2 big bats or 1 bat and Price. The offseason has started well with the upgrade in power from Kinsler to Fielder, and just a few more moves puts the Rangers back in the driver's seat in the AL.
Who from this of players are you guys hoping for the most?
