Obviously still trying to digest these trades. Will give credit to Rangers for reclaiming and refurbishing bet pitchers but have to admit …..

if we had no intention to compete we should have moved Gallo earlier or extended him earlier. Does not seem like good business to me. To me this is the most obvious error in judgment. He was once an elite prospect

It must be fun to be a contender now a days. It seems like with the exception of the Scherzer trade, most of the contenders were able to keep their best prospects while still acquiring all star or near all star talent.

with that said, we’ve all seen with our own eyes how good #1 prospect mike trout has become then a #1 prospect came along right after him who the rangers announcers kept saying could probably provide a similar “boost” or “jolt” to his team when he got called up. We never saw profar provide the “mike trout“ boost that we were hoping for.

you never know with prospects, so I can understand the rangers “grabbing as many as you can” approach and the thinking that at least several will turn into something of value.

I can see that but wish we were able to flip Gallo for more a quality prospect sooner as we have plenty of quantity now. No elite prospects are a glaring minus although Jung looks like the real deal but we need more of this and an alpha
