I agree with you but that Kinsler/Fielder fiasco has stuck in my crawl about JD ever since.

I didn’t mind the kinsler/fielder trade at the time.
Fielder played in every game for years and had some pop and played 1B. We had odor ready for 2nd and kinsler popped out too much lol

because of what happened with fielder it looks bad but had fielder played a few years with an OPS over .800 it would have worked out

I think at the time, the intention was to move kinsler out to make room for profar.

Yeah I was never much of a Kinsler fan either.

I think they opened up 2B because of Profar, Odor and Luis Sardinas we’re all almost ready.

And we would definitely seen more playoff years if he stayed healthy. That’s why I’m a little concerned on this Howard kid. Check his medicals. Don’t let him be a TJ victim ready to happen.

On the surface it sounds bad but let's give it some time to see what develops. Howard may be much more than it seems at the moment. Hope Gibbs does well but he had been less than great the last few outings. Crouse still has to prove out too.
