Zach Green hit #16 tonight for the Rivercats. Does he get a cuppo this year? He's only 25, and plays 3b (60%) and 1b (40%). He's from Sacto, so is a NorCal kid.
I think it depends on whether or not the roster change rule for September is in effect this year or next year. Of course, the previous regime (Bochy included) limited the numbers of guys that came up but the Dodgers, the past few years, have virtually called up every guy they could and sported a dugout of 36 to 40 guys per September.

Sam Selman: 36.2 IP, 62 Ks, 1.47 ERA

Fernando Abad: 33.1 IP, 42 Ks, 1.89 ERA

I'd expect both of these guys to come up assuming Smith, Watson, Dyson are traded

They've certainly earned the right to get promoted. Pat Venditte may get another shot too.

Hell, they may even be able to trade Abad for something. Prior MLB experience, not a total unknown.

Richmond had another large roster shakeup again recently (12 players involved). In the last week, the following has happened:
Heath Quinn got activated from the IL and sent to San Jose
Brandon Van Horn also got sent down to San Jose
Ryan Howard got demoted from Sacramento
Bryce Johnson and Peter Maris both got promoted from San Jose
Sam Wolff got placed on the IL
Caleb Simpson and Hamlet Marte both got activated from the IL
Caleb Baragar and Matt Winn were "officially" sent to Salem-Keizer but, in reality, are in limbo status, waiting for openings in the Richmond roster. (Jake Wong also currently resides on the Salem roster and Seth Corry were there earlier this month.)
Will Maddox, an indy pick up earlier this season, was released
And John Riley, the 31st round pick from San Jose in 2013 was finally let go as well.

Too bad about Riley. His draft and signing were a topic for quite a bit of discussion here. While he was always a longshot, I had high hopes for him.

He was definitely a shocking sign when they got him.

I had a buddy who worked with Salem back when he was assigned to that level and heard good things about his character, it just never clicked with him on the field.

Sean Hjelle was too much for hitters in the SAL League (which is good because he should dominate that league), but he's been even betting in the CAL League, which is really impressive.

39.2 IP, 2.04 ERA, 40 Ks, 9 BBs. He's been a ground-ball machine too. In June he's been even better with a 1.26 ERA over 5 starts.

He could be a fast mover, maybe in play for a rotation spot sometime next year.

I’m kinda counting on him and Wong. A rotation of Anderson, Beede, DRod, Hjelle, and Wong!

It seems he never really got regular playing time with org. Even when he would hit decently, his time was sporadic. I guess once they got him in the organization they changed their mind on his potential.
