Oh Oh. Chris Carter can expect an angry phone call.

I still think it's our offensive playcalling and just general setup. Baldwin is the #1 rated slot receiver but he's in the #2 quite a bit. What happened to Chris Matthews? He's got an 80% reception rate for every target.

I really feel like the Pete Carroll/Bevell playcalling just needs to open up more. If you're going to spend $20M+ on a QB you gotta let him throw it up to players. Let him make some mistakes, let him throw some INTs.... I feel like they've got Wilson on such a short leash in terms of what he can throw that Wilson is just second guessing himself and panicking prematurely.

Graham, 6'7", Mathews 6'5", Baldwin #1 rated slot. Perhaps it's time to stop calling our receivers pedestrian and look at the playbook/O coord? Seattle needs to go to the Belichick school of not taking the foot off the gas in the later stages of the game as well. Put up 60. I want 100 points. If we're up 60-0 make it 120-0.

Just as much blame goes to RW too... His scrambling abilities and instincts are phenominal but his pocket nothing to write home about...

True, he got no trust and feels he needs to keep moving.

The 4th quarter of the game when it looked like things were wrapped up we went back to those lame, super-conservative out routes because "if we don't turn the ball over we'll win!" PC needs to pull his head out of his stubborn ass and keep the foot down on the gas for all 4 quarters. Wilson's fine in the pocket when they're actually running routes that are conducive to making throws out of it. They run lame out routes or stupid button routes setting up the scramble drill. That's got to stop. They called a great game until the 3rd quarter and then it was back to the nonsense. We don't have the defense we had 2 years ago and we need to score.

Until RW can be fine in the pocket on the consistent basis, I'm not going to give him the benefit of the doubt there... It's the one area he needs to improve on to be a complete QB.... I'm not saying he can't be a fine pocket passer but he puts us in tough spots at times, imo because of his decisions in the pocket sometimes...

The routes aren't conducive to keeping him in the pocket. They game plan around him and the scramble drill. When they dial up quicker, aggressive routes he's fine. The game planning is doing him absolutely no favors.

I love RW but still, he is developing some happy feet. He just doesn't trust his OL even when they hold up. Understandable, but unfortunate also.

Doesn't matter how good they are rated on some stat sight when your QB doesn't get them the ball. Baldwin, Kearse, and Tyler Lockett combined in the last game for ZERO yards/catches.

Yep, not one of your top receivers got a damned ball the whole game. :L

Perhaps he read too many threads here saying all he had to do to win was get Graham involved.

Which says even more about Baldwin. Sounds like he's not being lined up very much in the slot which is a pretty glaring problem. Even after the Carolina game he ranks as the best slot receiver in the game. Time for Seattle to use him there more.

Millen did some kind of chart on the game and about half the blame is on Wilson, the rest was a combination of player not running routes well and just scheme or good play on defense.

We all know the offense is pretty bad. Plenty of blame to spread around for it.

Since we're on the topic of our receivers, this was written on ESPN today:

"2. Has Jimmy Graham found his groove? Graham enjoyed a breakout game in Week 5, finishing with eight catches for 140 yards in the loss to the Panthers. For all the hand-wringing about Seattle's struggles to assimilate Graham into its scheme, it should be noted he has been targeted more this season than he was in any of his final four seasons with the Saints. He leads the team in catches (29) and receiving yards (344) and is tied for the Seahawks' lead in touchdowns (2). Jimmy is gonna be OK"

I thought that bolded part was interesting considering how many people think Graham isn't getting targeted enough.
