Good question. I know my stance and very other Cowboys fan stance is Beasley serves hi's role just fine. I'd love to have another or two top tier WR's along with Dez but not too many teams have that luxury.

Many Cowboy fans are content with it because Beasley has good hands and is a little shifty and has kept some drives alive. All I've ever said is I'd want a heck of a lot more from my 3 then 10 yards and a cloud of dust. So you're telling me you and the Cowboys management prefer a safety valve as your 3 over someone who can stretch the field. Take a dump off pass and turn it into a 65 yard gain. Someone who can stick a dagger in your heart. Beasley just had his greatest game in the history of his career yesterday and managed 60 yards. THATS PHENOMENAL!

Cole is our #3 WR, not #3 option. But today he was the #3 option becuase he was the safety check down for a 4th round rookie starting game 1 of his career. He didn't have time to consistently get to TWill or Butler or find Zeke in the flat.

And Cole averages 10 YPC for his career and averages 2 first downs a game. I'll take that from my slot WR.

Because they have 4 guys just as mediocre as Beasley. Sproles fills that roll come to think of it and he is tremendously better then Beasley. Imagine what Sproles would do in Beasley spot.

The Eagles have absolutely no problem finding a 400 yard receiver. We just don't have the Dez Bryant types.

Sproles is our dump off guy. But the guy on the Eagles who plays Beasley's position had 85 catches for 1000 yards last year.

Two things about this last play:

1. Had the WR gone out of bounds, Dallas would have had 10 seconds left on the clock to run another play for a chance to get into field goal range. You can argue that getting the yards was more important, but it wasn't. 10 seconds is more than enough time to run another play and get out of bounds. The WR absolutely should have gotten out of bounds.

2. Look at when the Ref finally puts the ball down and allows the offense to snap the ball. By the time the ball was spotted and the ref got out of the way, there was no time left. Even if Dak was line up wrong, as you claim, it would not have mattered. He could not snap the ball before the ref spotted the ball, which he did with no time left for the offense to do anything.

Sproles 8.8 YPC Beasley 10.0 YPC.
Don't take this as a knock on Sproles but I don't see how you can't prop up Sproles when the stat you are banging on isn't as good as Beasley.
If Sproles was in Dallas he'd replace Dunbar not Beasley.
