Well, the 7th rounder was a long shot to make the roster; and they only moved back 9 spots, so there's a good chance the guy they want will be there anyway.

Same. McCoy is not worth a 5th & 7th. Maybe a 6th by itself.

Baalke & Harbaugh must really not like any QBs in the draft, cause we could have maybe signed Palmer after he gets released, or at least waited a little while to bring McCoy's price down. I'll probably get laughed out of the thread for this, but I almost thought Ryan Fitzpatrick could be coached up by Harbaugh to become a cheap but decent backup.

A 6th by itself is more than what the Niners gave up. They essentially gave up the 20th pick in the 7th round.

hmmm. Once upon a time i actually thought Colt had some potential. I was never blown away by him, but there was a little something. While that has fizzled I have no doubt this is a much better situation for him than Cleveland ever was. I wanna see what Harbaugh can do with him.

I didn't know SF only has Miami's 6th round pick; I thought 31st in the 6th would be fair, but I also haven't read if SF actually got any picks back from Cleveland or not.

McCoy's not that mobile. He's not Peyton Manning or anything, bur not Alex either. Doesn't matter. He's basically Josh Johnson again. Low-risk backup battling in training camp.
