Mandatory masking seems to be working well there. Starting to question why BC hasn't implemented it - per capita they've been seeing more cases than Ontario in the last week. Seems kind of unnecessary.

Much older officials are the ones who re-opened bars and restaurants and everything else and then said "But don't go there!".

Much older officials are also the ones who haven't mandated mask-wearing.

This is incredibly logical.

Horgan and Henry also both reiterated support for wearing non-medical masks, Wednesday, while resisting making them mandatory.

“We don’t want people to believe that masks will be an invincibility shield for them,” said Horgan, saying physical distancing and hand hygiene remain the key to stopping the virus.

I'm pretty sure the general public at large at this point are well aware that the point of the mask is to prevent YOU from potentially transmitting the virus to others, not to prevent catching it.
